Okinawa de Suki ni Natta Ko ga Hougen Sugite Tsurasugiru
Romcoms set in school about a guy moving to a new city in Japan attending school there meeting the locals, both on opposite sides of literal spectrums where one is in the snowy cold Hokkaido and the other is in the sunny hot Okinawa. Similar setup with love interests at play and a push for local things in their areas are present, tho the push for Okinawa stuff is much more presented upon in Okitsura compared to it being here and there in Dosakoi. Also that Dosakoi is more heavily influenced with the romance aspect whereas Okitsura it feels more like a subpoint to the series. Okitsura also provides a more speedy approach to the pacing of the show and is a lot more hyper compared to Dosakoi and as well, the male MC faces translation issues with the female MC most of the time whereas Dosakoi there isn't too much of an issue in terms of dialect play.

The original has tons of derivatives but Cinnamoroll's cover must be the cutest cover by far.

Koori Zokusei Danshi is a similar work-based rom-com, but better in every way compared to Kekkon suru tte. Two introverted and adorkable protagonists? Check. A cast of colorful side characters? Check. Cats? You know it. The main difference is Koori Zokusei Danshi *makes progress* in a nicely organic way while Kekkon suru tte goes from speedrun to crawl and then back again. Be advised, Koori Zokusei Danshi contains fantasy/magical realism elements, if that makes a difference to you.

The shows have a similar premise, of a high school boy from Tokyo moving to a far flung spot in Japan and feeling like a fish out of water as he learns to embrace the cultural differences. In both instances he is helped along by a very energetic girl and a more reserved girl. The settings happen to be very different though, with one being the cold Northern island of Hokkaido, and the other being the warm Southern Island of Okinawa.

This isn't plagiarism, but to say that Kijuu was only heavily inspired by Titans would be an understatement. Idk, maybe those were generic tropes used in Japan shonen culture but still. The difference is AoT lean to mysteries, whereas Kn8 is more action oriented.

Medieval fantasy story about two persons (eventually three in Frieren) traveling northward to go back to somewhere they've been meaning to travel to, whilst having adventures and getting to know more about local communities and about each other. There's a bit of romance in Frieren between the two kids, and Spice and Wolf is all about the romance between the two main characters. Both series are slice of life themed and have a slow-ish pace. The scales are never too high, but still high enough to make you care about the main characters. Maou 2099
Urban fantasy setting with both magic and science. While Toaru Kagaku no Railgun's main characters are school girls and Maou 2099's main character is an ancient demon lord, both have a similar vibe with their futuristic urban fantasy setting, where magic and high tech science coexist. Both have a mix of action, fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, comedy and slice of life which make it an enjoyable diverse watching experience. Both are also from the same studio and have pretty good animation and soundtrack.

I bet this recommendation has been made already, but for good reasons! Those two animes have so much in common. Starting from both isekaied people not being human, leveling up and collecting skills, and the first few episodes are structured roughly the same, which made them both feel pretty similar. That being good of course. Watching “Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken” had me in love with the whole leveling up and collecting skills, and so does “Tensei shitara Ken deshita”. Watching that hard work of training and collecting paying of for both the MCs was a true feast to enjoy. Adding to that, if you are looking for some cuteness switching into serious battles and back, like the slime anime, this is your bet. First I was caught by the cat girl's cuteness, and then I was drawn in by the oh so riveting battles against enemies of different kinds.

Silly creatures get up to fun activities in their everyday lives with minimal problematic issues occurring in these children's anime. They're very similar in there being new creatures in both shows they meet along the way and are full of vivid colourful depictions. The main difference is that Shizuku has characters all within a completely fictional world whereas Cocotama is based in a modern day Japanese setting, also in Cocotama the creatures need to be kept a secret whilst Shizuku's just roam around wherever. They feature characters in training, Cocotama to become fully fledged gods whereas Shizuku in becoming better protectors of the forest. The different character archetypes are pretty similar to each, you got a happy-go-lucky main character, lovely and the more sexy one, one that loves eating, the little jokester prankster, and even an elderly one teaching the young ones too. They both also have Ryouka Yuzuki in them too, the innocent pure but sometimes womanly Uruoi-chan in Shizuku and then the very womanly and sexy-acting Kirarisu in Cocotama.

These works are the results of the success formula of the harens intelligent MC teaches dumb FMC, and the universe conspires for this to happen and the MC cannot refuse no matter how much he wants to do this and of course there is a difference in how this occurs between the two animes , but it is clear how Nariyuki is similar to Fuutarou in several factors whoever reads what I am saying now may think that I am speaking in a critical tone, however these works begin with a very identical premise but become a two-way street with the course of the episodes with different aspects and if you liked the ending of 5-toubon you will probably love the one of we never learn (if you didn't like it I have bad news) BTW it's worth following the 2 seasons after all until the last minute no We have no idea who Nariyuki chooses this one I can give you one last recommendation this would be read the manga of We never learn especially for the last 5 mangas where it brings a final with each of the contestants for the position of MC's bride.

both dive into similar themes that the the author were expirenicing , some say darling in the franxx is a knock off of evangaelion which parts of it is true , however both excelle in expressing themes that are unqiue to them , evanagelion uses their charecters such as shinji , asuka and rei to express themes of isolation , adolences , depression , self struggle , loving themselves and some bliblical themes. While darling in the franxx also does go through some similar themes it is more light hearted and easier to understand then evanagelion while also focusing on romance as well. Both are extremely well written and are similar in some ways but unqiue in others . I recommend watching evangelion after watchig darling in the franxx as it is more complex and in depth and not for the faint of heart.

Ao no Hako
Touch is one of the best selling manga of all time and at one point was the most popular anime series ever. It has a very clear and obvious influence on Ao no Hako. Both series are a mix of slice of life and sports, with a heavy romantic subtext and emphasis on characters who are childhood friends. Both series are also similarly cross demographic between shounen and shoujo. Though where the two differ is that Touch has more of a core focus it settles on a love triangle, with an underlying bit of tragedy to the series, and special attention given to the relationship of the two brothers. I feel like these two have so much in common that a lot of fans of one could easily enjoy the other pretty easily, though Touch is a bit more of a slow burn and might take some adjustment from someone used to watching shows in bite sized seasons.
