Thank you! Yes I am very devastated at the movie. Everytime I think about the ending its like a sore spot in my heart -___-. Manga has the real ending.

just read your clannad review and it seems that you don't know that clannad is based on a visual novel, where in the main protagonist is nagisa, and the anime follows her route (rather perfectly), they did do 2 ova episodes that follow 2 other heroines but the full story was not really shown

clannad VN was made to have multiple endings and the animators chose to do the afterstory route, which to my knowledge is the "true ending" to clannad VN

watching clannad 1 and 2 is not actually 2 different seasons they are 1 show based on the VN ofc

Ryou and Kyou are twins their personalities are just different, and the fact that 1 is born before the other (1st 1 out the womb and such) but they are indeed twins

if you wer dissatisfied with the show because they followed a route you weren't fond of then i would suggest you play through the VN and do the routes you would have prefered to have seen animated

BUT you have to remember it is rather hard to animate a visual novel with multiple endings and trying to incorporate storyline from all of the heroine that is just how it is

I agree with what you said in your Clannad review, but you need to go much much more in depth to explain things properly. There are people who are going to downvote it just because you say something bad about the show, but you can sway a lot of their hands by better explaining your views.
