I'm not going to go very in-depth about the merit of this pretty typical shounen sports anime but I will list reasons that keep me watching, although I still haven't finished it hehe. The manga is really worth finishing though!
1.) Although the manga is a lot better, I'm a sucker for color and movement so I loved seeing everyone animated. I think everyone else has more or less mentioned this, but the characters make this story/show. Hiruma is the freaking man, Sena is wonderful to watch, Mamori is super kickass, and everyone else just can't help being awesome as well.

I haven't been able to get ahold of any chapters past 11 but from what I've read so far, this manga is very enjoyable!
While this is definitely within the shoujo manga category, I think that its mystery elements make it much more interesting than a typical shoujo series. Although the nature of the manga is episodic, there are already hints in what I've read of the overarching plot regarding Shiho's past and how she is growing as a character. In addition, I like that the main romance changes both characters and therefore, creates an interesting relationship. Overall, this is a great shoujo read and ...

What a disappointment. I expected a lot out of this show as it was done by BONES but it definitely falls apart at a certain point in the series.
There were a lot of things that were done well in the show. The animation was quite beautiful and remained at a high quality all throughout. The music worked although they repeated some themes one too many times. The OP is pretty nice although I think others are better. The concepts they introduced in the first half of the series were quite interesting as well. But a ton of problems arose ... |
