"Any molehill can be a mountain if you're small enough, and I'm the king of Shit Mountain!"
Just a chill journalism student who likes to watch and talk about anime and games. I'm big on character driven shows and super pretentious stuff that makes me feel smarter than I actually am. Currently obsessed with House of Leaves and Twin Peaks. My favorite directors are Denis Villenneuve and Edgar Wright, and my favorite bands are Queens of the Stone Age and Mastodon.

Here's how I break down my scores if you're curious:
10: Manages to both check all my personal preference boxes and deliver fantastic quality in whatever it sets out to do. Nothing's perfect, but these come close for me. Something I would call a masterpiece.
9: These are shows I want to give a ten. Any show here is one that I probably had an internal debate over and in the end felt that it fell just a little bit short of the high mark of a ten.
8: Shows here and above are ones that resonate with me in some way or have a personal impact. This score is reserved to truly great shows that do a lot of good, but also have some hangups that keep them from rising to their true potential.
7: A solid show that can stand firmly on its own two feet. Sure, it's not amazing, but it's definitely above par. These shows do things to set themselves apart from the tide of mediocrity, but also suffer from big problems. Perhaps their highs aren't as high as they could be, or it falters from what it sets out to be.
6: Decent. They serve as enjoyable content while you watch it but it really isn't all that much to remember. These just need a little more work to pass from "okay" to "actually good". Still worth watching if the premise or genre appeals to you, but best to pass on if not.
5: Mediocre, subpar, whatever you call it, this is the score for shows that fall into the tide of mediocrity. Shows that I find kind of boring or lacking in purpose and vision while not having too many gaping horrible flaws go here. Ambitious yet poorly handled shows can also fall here.
4: Shows here are just lacking in proper care. There might still be some things I like or ideas that appeal to me, but they are buried under a mire of problems that hinder my enjoyment.
3: Here we find the shows that I can truly say are just bad. Any redeeming qualities are crushed beyond repair by poor decisions from the studio.
2: Offensively bad. I don't see how any of this made it past an editor.
1: A void of all things good and enjoyable. An abyss so deep and black that it stares back up at me and makes me question why such a work exists.
(I'll prob try to turn this into a 3x3 or make it nicer later.)
