This fools people. The potential it had, yet unused. Unused to stop the cliche-ness? Well, stories need it at some point; there's a reason why it's *popular* and why it's called 'cliche.'

Story: 6/10
The first episode didn’t seem to give a really big impact. It gave me the feeling that I could just skip it off – mark it off from my mind. There wasn’t much ‘drama’ or so in the first meeting (or at least how I remember it to be; doesn’t seem memorable). [...]
Watch, watch, watch. And yeah, I didn’t have much feelings watching the show. It just passed by. It made me feel like it is only for killing time. Yes, the drama was nice, the slice-of-life was fine, the action was good, but that’s that – nothing more, nothing less. There were a lot of things that I felt that was missing, but apparently, it isn’t just me. There are a lot from different anime bloggers.
What felt to be climatic didn’t feel much at all. I could feel a bit of its tense, but none of its atmosphere. I wasn’t absorbed in the anime. To put it bluntly, it is pretty much a mediocre anime. In fact, more than half of the the important events in the anime have… well, no significance, in the end. (Were there even really important events to take note of?).
Art: 8/10
I would say it was good but it makes me pull this show down because of the story it has made. I would say that art is between outstanding and great, but there are some times where the art could be, err, well… pretty hard to understand – something that could be misinterpreted.
Sound: 7/10
Some/Most people would say it’s great (probably), but the song isn’t really to my liking especially the ending sequence. I don’t really know what would actually make me dislike the ending sequence, but I guess that’s because it isn’t as fitting to the anime as it seems to other people. The opening sequence was fine, but I actually got tired of it and thought that it is bad (or has gotten bad). Just listen to it for yourself.
Character: 6/10
All I can say is that the character development is below average, but I couldn’t say it was that bad. It’s almost been the same thing, from the first episode to the last one.
Enjoyment: 8/10
When I get disappointed, I make this-is-fine things bad, but not as how I make it out to be. But seriously, to be honest, I really did enjoy watching this show. I couldn’t say I was wasting my time, but there were some things I learned.
Overall: 7/10

I have to admit, even cliché stories are better than this – WAY BETTER – than this. . . .
But still, it’s *kind of* worth the watch.

Story: 9.5/10
Definitely, I’m giving this a 9.5/10 for the huge progression of the story, which kept it so promising from the beginning to the end! Majority of the episodes were, basically, amazing, which pushed me to give it this kind of rating, yet some of it were too slow for me to understand or even care to absorb the story being

put through. But on the other side, it usually pushes me to the edge of the seat when things become serious. I mean, drama? It was never too much in Bakuman, but there were rare times of it being so cheesy, it makes me feel like I’m embarrassed to even watch this very episode. I, honestly, can’t bear to know that this had ended esp. with all the cliffhangers, and the ‘hidden’ characters!
Art: 7/10
J.C. Staff? I’m not surprised that it isn’t as good as I expect it to be, or even worse! But at least it was fine. Speaking of which, what pushed through making me watch this show was, ironically, the art as well from Bakuman’s volume 1.
Sound: 8/10
The opening and ending theme songs were to my liking! It really portrayed this anime well, in a way. At about the fourth time I heard it, I thought it sucked and became stupid as it repeated, but in the end, it made me remember that there’s just something, just something, about this song that makes me like it at the same time. Just listen to it for yourself! (I’m going to post the OP and ED sequences soon, but I can’t be sure.)
Character: 8/10
I really enjoy this dynamic duo, and perhaps the other unusual mangakas. At first, their rival was “luck” from getting a ‘good’ editor, then a serialized high school student, then mangakas that came out of nowhere, and probably will repeat in the 2nd season with good drama (again!), but no more random mangakas, I guess.
Enjoyment: 9/10
Definitely a 9/10! What made me push it back to a 9 was because of the cinematography. I never really like J.C. Staff’s animations, but what I do like about them is that they make anime sequels almost out of nowhere.
Overall: 8.3/10
You might want to watch this show, yourself. I’m almost kind of a person, who’s almost like “Fk that episode, this anime sucks”thing. But I really do recommend you watch this show! (esp. when there’s an upcoming, awesome 2nd season)
I hope the other viewers out there enjoyed the show as much as I did! >:)

I’d like to let you know how much I love Maid-sama! despite the negative comments on different (re)viewers.
(1) I’ve heard that Special A > Maid-sama! but hear me out, I have never tried/wanted to watch Special A. Lots of my female friends here in our school, when I ask about interesting anime (that’s ‘romantic drama’), recommends me to watch Special A. For so many times, I wanted to

watch that show but there was really nothing that makes me think that it’s special. I’ve watched a few harem, bishounen, shoujo anime before, but I personally think they aren’t outstanding. I’d really prefer something like Maid-sama! wherein there’s a girl and a boy that turns out to like each other, but then another boy appears out of nowhere and interferes their relationship but couldn’t even budge it (at least a little bit).
(2) The atmostphere - an unusual ending: kiss then fight (tease)? It really made me feel the atmosphere as though I was the one trying to kiss a superhuman girl. Same goes to the humor (3).
(3) What makes them special is lovecom. In connection with the fifth compliment on Maid-sama!, what makes a ‘romantic drama’ unique is its comedy. I fairly think that Maid-sama! has accomplished that very well and it has made me laugh about lots of things well.
(4) Eye candy art. What’s so nice about Maid-sama! is because it has a really amazing feel on the effects on ‘lovely’ scenes/situations. Though, I don’t want to put it disappointingly, it’s not as good as Kimi ni Todoke’s but it’s enough artwork masterpiece to watch it.
(5) Maid-sama! has unrealistic characters; Takumi Usui who’s almost perfect, and Misaki who’s almost perfect, which makes them the superhuman couple. Honestly, I’m tired of watching anime that’s too incline with reality. For example, Kimi ni Todoke. I really love that show, and I give it a 90/100 as my rating. But if you think about it, if I have watched Kimi ni Todoke (disregarding the ending), would I still be interested to watch more romance (that’s incline with reality)? Sure, the second time I watch another romance like Kimi ni Todoke probably wouldn’t bore me, but sooner or later, there’ll be nothing. (Action and adventure genre is a different story, same with comedy, etc… They have different materials so it’s not really good to compare them with this romantic drama that’d just end obviously [includes the topic, Maid-sama!, and the specially mentioned, Kimi ni Todoke.])
(6) The buildup is great. When Hinata Shintani appears, it made me really praise Maid-sama! when Hinata said, “You look really cute in your maid uniform.” Those words made me think that Misaki really does look good in it. “So what’s the buildup in it?” If I’m correct, the 4 episodes before the appearance of Hinata didn’t show Misaki in her maid clothes. It made you forget about the physical appearance (or at least, the outfit) because of the enjoyment you get in this anime. When she wore the maid clothes, it made me say, “Really nice clothes,” right before Hinata said she’s cute in it.
(7) I prioritize Maid-sama! more than the other anime. I don’t know why but Maid-sama! doesn’t seem to be that appealing compared to other shows like Shiki, The Legend of the Legendary Heroes, Occult Academy, etc. It makes me wait until Saturday 22PM until the release of the latest subbed episode of Maid-sama!. How much I love this anime is over the top. If people say to me that liking this anime is stupid, then I’d rather like this stupid anime than other anime.
So, basically, Maid-sama! has unrealistic characters, fine line of comedy, great buildup for particular scenes, nice Takumi rival, the feel of the atmosphere, and the pleasing feeling before, during, and after watching it.

Cardcaptor Sakura is a great show, though you’ll notice that it’s really classic. I don’t watch many magical girl anime so I can’t really say for sure how Cardcaptor Sakura is better or worse than other magical girl anime. The only thing I’m looking forward in this anime is the “romance” part but I guess it exceeded my expectations positively.
Story: 7/10
The story was good but neither great nor outstanding. The anime was more episodic than I thought. You can seriously see the pattern: Sakura lives her life normally, notices a card or meets one, tries to capture it, she gets a card (at least 1
...
in every episode). Regardless of Sakura, you’d always see Tomoyo with her camcorder, and creator of Sakura’s battle costumes; Toya, who has weird abilities, shows up in a sudden in most bad timings, and Syaoran competing his love against Sakura for Yukito’s love. It can be repetitive but if you have fun with it, I bet you wouldn’t bother its repetitiveness and remain excited (even with the fillers dragging the show) for the main plot, and if you want to really get a grasp on the romance plot, you would as well.
The first two seasons seem to focus a lot on the “capture them all” (that reminds me of Pokemon somehow, lol). Although she does capture them all, there were weird points (or hints) in the show. While hinting that there is a “someone else” in the show that’d appear in the end of Season 2, it sucks to think that Kero would keep on saying “Yue” while looking up on the sky (esp. the dark sky at night) as though he is heartbroken or “I’m going to die without you-“ issue thing.
And in the third season, you can make fillers easier than I thought. The goal is to have Sakura renew his Clow Cards and in the end, it doesn’t conflict with the first and second seasons; it rather harmonizes well. Basically, that’s it but…
… the romance part has been bothering me lately. In the end, I just wanted to know what happened to Sakura “after it happened.” Although the answer may be already obvious, I just want to see how Sakura would say after “they” meet each other again.
Art: 10/10
“Why 10?” I bet you didn’t know this was a 1998-show without looking it up in other websites, right? Well, it is. Madhouse has done outstandingly. At those times, it might be one of those shows with outstanding animation. Compared to the shows around 2003-2005, you can still notice minor details (from the OPs alone). Moreover, the art doesn’t degrade as the show goes on. (Good thing Madhouse doesn’t make half-heartedly done works.)
Sound: 8/10
I love all the OPs but I, unfortunately, like (only) the EDs. (Notice the love and like relationship I used.) The OP does have the catchy feeling and the ED does have the “catchy” feeling as well but the ED was “too” jolly for me. After all, we have different tastes but most of you out there might love it.
Character: 10/10
Apparently, what I like about this show is how “deep” CLAMP showed different relationships like the pedophilic-like relationship, boy-boy relationship, and cousin-cousin relationship, making it really is great to tell the young viewers out there, “Don’t be afraid to love someone you really love.” CLAMP didn’t even mention, even once, some “unusual” words although some were obviously already suspecting other people’s relationship. So this makes their characters unique… VERY unique.
But what excites me most is the filler character, Meilin. Sure, Meilin could “destroy” the plot of the show, make conflicts or so, but fortunately, she didn’t. Instead, she played a really great role in Shaoran x Sakura, making the story deeper and “more promising.”
I’d like to talk about the other characters (one by one, perhaps) but it’ll make this review longer.
Enjoyment: 9/10
I had fun watching the show (including the fillers) but comparing it with the manga, I can say that there were other situations the manga had cases than this series.
Overall: 9/10
There wasn’t anything “big” in the series (or at least the third season). It’d be almost like anticlimactic since the season 2 ending was way better than the season 3 ending. Although the season 3 ending was somehow dramatic and the season 2 was really “revealing” or something like that, it probably is just that Cardcaptor Sakura has a wide variety.

Apparently, my Tsubasa RESERvoir CHRoNiCLE's 2nd season review is almost the same as the first season. There are differences but not that much.
I happen to add +1 in Story (4/10). After reaching its downfall and it's poor progression of the story, it eventually became decent enough for me to accept that fact and just enjoy the series.
I gave their sound -1 (9/10). The OP and ED isn't near to the goodness of season one. The first season's OP and ED were very irresistible. I always had the habit of skipping OPs and EDs but Tsubasa Chronicle broke that record for me. The only thing that

tells me to keep it great is because of its awesome insert songs.
The character progression, even at its slow pacing, really improved... AT LAST! I've been waiting for this time... been waiting for this improvement! Added a one to character (8/10) for it.
This season is basically the same as the first season but its downfall isn't falling that hard now. It's remaining on its rate not to be one... still, it did fall down greatly.
In the end, I'd have to suggest this to people who like romance with a little bit of action in it. I wouldn't really suggest anyone to watch this series... never especially having 52 episodes with more than 3/4 as outrageous fillers.

NOTE: I have never ever read the manga before, which I am highly hoping for a better story. And I haven’t watched the second season.
The first episode was promising. It is a good reason why you should engage with this anime. But the start of their journey was, at the same time, the start of their downfall. The pacing was slow; the fillers would tell you that this is one of the worst anime ever just because of that. They just BUTCHERED an anime, which had the potential to become the anime of all time!

was bad… more than bad, actually. The fact that they’d call the manga “shounen,” the anime should be, too, right? Yet, I don’t see why I should like it anymore if it’s called to be shounen. We all might have different tastes but the fights aren’t what I call shounen anymore. Oh, hell, and when they show fighting scenes, you don’t see them fighting at all… They do, actually, but they’re like “PEW PEW” for 5-10 seconds and after a few seconds, they’d pause, probably talk and go dramatic, go for another short “PEW PEW” and the fight is finish with either the enemy escaping, giving up, or “transformed into a whole new person.” Uuuuuh! I just don’t know how to describe its terribleness this “shounen” anime is!
This doesn’t sound like shounen anymore… not at all.
Not only that but the animation isn’t even something to boast at about. As a fan of CLAMP, I love their animation. It’s either the animation producer couldn’t draw them well with “good expressions” or they are just up for ill-expressed anime characters. Eventually, I found the animation fair… There was nothing special. Something ordinary-like…
The sound was good… In fact, it’s outstanding! I like how Mokona does his “cuteness” all the way through with how it talks. The rest were good, too, but I think the sound was pulled down by the horrendous moments they made.
Apparently, I found the characters “flawless” or “too flawless.” Sure, protagonists are supposed to be like that but I think there wasn’t even a hint of “badness” there. The only one I saw was Kurogane being short-tempered. What more? Well, regardless of that, they were good characters and weren’t fairly disappointing. At the very least, they were doing well.
But thank goodness, the anime still gave me enjoyment. It isn’t really a good show to kill time (since there isn’t “much” of the uniqueness and the different fun you would experience) but it gives a good sense of fun. I don’t know why but I seemingly found it fun (the usual fun). Then again, the presence of boringness was there. Still, they were doing very good at it.
Overall, it was good. I wouldn’t recommend watching the anime though… I haven’t watched the second season of Tsubasa RESERVoir Chronicle (anime) nor the manga so I can’t really find a good “touch” for it, and make too hasty and crappy conclusions.
The only thing that is urging me to continue watching this anime, anyway, is because it’s made by CLAMP… That’s probably it.
