HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

You're welcome! ;)

Hope you like the second season more than I did, I'm looking forward to see your score. I don't know if it's to soon for another recommendation, but Flying Witch is also really good.

Just gonna leave it here: Nano best "girl".

I remember when I watched Nichijou, that show is impressive. If you really like it you should try Daily Lives of High School Boys, it doesn't have that over the top humor but still push all boundaries of a day to day life.

Yeah, you were right. The feeling of "I have to keep watching" after each cliffhanger was something I didn't feel for a while. Although wonderful, It took a while for me to get used to the animation style and the occasional CGI. The characters weren't that fun either, being pretty much locked down into a single role in their tropes. But, as you said, I couldn't stop watching.

I guess a good comparison to this anime would be a mediocre song with an astonishing music video, after watching it many times you'll end up learning to like the song too.

Hyped for the infinite train arch movie hahaha

I've watched Corpse Party and it felt just like a horror movie with a bunch of gore if you like that sort of thing go for it. It doesn't rely on jump scares and the story, besides really fragmented and may be hard to understand at first, was good.

I'm not familiar with the horror genre so I can't confirm if it's great or not. I'm afraid that years from now when I look back at that show I think "How did I like this?" haha

I already saw the mangas cover images of corpse party in a book store once haha. A friend of mine rated it with a 10, so there are people who enjoy it. I took a look at the anime page and the length of it approach a movie more than a show. Why don't you watch a few minutes of it to see if you can handle?

About mikakunin, every time the studio doka kobo publishes something in that style I'm looking forward to it. They seem to get it right almost every time. I'm waiting for their new show about a fox girl to end to binge watch it haha.

About Shiki. There were a few flaws, like the huge amount of secondary characters even though the number of then that got developed was really low, from around 50 characters I can remember the story of 10 I guess. Such trade-off made just a few impactful deaths affect you and the rest just contribute to the feeling of a people rotting. The way the show explicit shows you what happens in a survival of the fittest scenario was great, hard decisions the most influential had to make, horror and the premise of a village against vampires made it worth for me. Some reviews talked about morality but I could only find a metaphorical view of how God sees the "Shiki" and the way humans behaved when faced to the reality they had to kill those who were once their friends. Hope I didn't spoil anything, I'm probably going to watch some comedy with many cute girls now hahaha

I haven't read any reviews before starting Shiki so I didn't have a bias. I'm liking it thus far, the design is similar to Code Geass with very tall and slim characters. The premise of the anime just finished being introduced at episode 4, remote village, vampires, can they solve the mystery before it's too late? pretty much that. I really liked it, the terror seems more to the psychological side, I still need to see how it will evolve. If when I finish you haven't started yet I give you my final impressions.

After you complete aria, if you liked it, I recommend watching Amanchu! since they have the same vibe and are from the same director.

I've watched in chronological order, didn't feel like I lost something by doing so. I don't recommend watching in release order because there are events that happen at the same time and without watching them in the right order may really confuse you.

About Haruhi, when I started watching I thought it would be a supernatural slice of life, but it proved to be a great experience. Don't be afraid to give it a try.

I didn't know about the endless eight before watching Haruhi, so it was a surprise for me. It took me around two weeks to pass it, the only thing that helped me through this arc was the promise of an incredible movie at the end which proved to be true. If it bugs you too much when you watch, I would recommend to watch the first episode and jump straight to the last, since nothing besides the animation really changes.

I'm watching monogatari too, but in launch order. I'm finally going to watch kizumonogatari but after the end story hahaha
Bidouda Nov 24, 2018 8:27 PM
Oh boy, the end is near. Are you prepared to the emotional impact? haha
