I know what you mean. It's just that you can't always judge shows as being absolutely perfect because of how hard it made you cry. Personally there are movies and anime that have made me cry a lot of but they still sucked regardless of me going through those emotions.

I'm saying if it displays a sorrowful atmosphere and it's not pandering, pandering in the sense that it's only purpose is just to make the viewer cry, then it's fine. A lot of times with shows like Clannad, Anohana, and Angel Beats try to be so over the top with it's emotional scenes where I'm not invested in it because of how soap opera-ish the scene is.

Tomoki is still the same in the manga. He does have more caring moments in the manga, like teaching the Angeloids how to be more human and stuff like that.

The manga itself is not long at all, just around 71 chapters all around 40 pages. You could probably knock it all down in one sitting. ;) I don't want to spoil it for you but something happens in the latest chapter that is a really big deal. And no he hasn't chosen who he wants to be with, at least not yet anyway.

Be careful with judging through emotional reasons, sometimes shows that try to exhibit a melancholy, depressing atmosphere, sometimes it'll seem emotionally manipulative and isn't honest with it's own message. Angel Beats and Elfen Lied are ones that I can think off the top of my head that tend to be manipulative to the viewer and not giving any substance with the emotional scenes they have.

I'd recommend Serial Experiments Lain if you want to go through a weird Journey through a psychological perspective of a little girl trying to make sense of the world around her. Usagi Drop is an amazing Slice of Life Father-Daughter story. Denpa Onna is an obscure cute girl comedy that may surprise for how subtlety deep it is in it's message. And Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei is a really great dark comedy that makes fun of current Japanese culture, especially in highschool and the way anime portrays it. That's all of my favorites that you haven't seen.
For the ones not on my favorites: Spirited Away, The World God Only Knows, Mysterious Girlfriend X, FLCL, 5 Centimeters per Second, Boku wa Tomodachi, To Love Ru Series, Ichigo Mashimaro, Ghost in the Shell and the TV series, Oda Nobuna no Yabou, Binbougami-ga, Welcome to the NHK, Akira, and Kure-nai. That's all I can think of. lol

I disagree with Tomoki. Yes he can be too perverted sometimes, but that's what makes him have so much charm because even though he does have those moments, the moments where he is caring for the Angeloids makes it more powerful. It shows you that he does have a heart of gold while he has this perverted alter ego. It makes him so much more different than you typical Harem protagonist who's so spineless and lacking any character.

Oh man, the latest chapters that came out a couple of weeks ago have made things very....serious. But in a good way, it's not like it came out of no where.

But it's tough to choose between Ikaros and Nymph. I mean I have a Nymph wallpaper on my laptop right now. The manga itself is getting better and better in terms of emotional impact.

Yeah I saw that and was looking on my anime viewing sites but its not up yet. I'll definitely be looking forward to watching it when the subs come out. --excited :O

The tags nowadays are just snarky comments that are usually there for humor and sarcasm that supposed to resemble my feelings towards the show. I'm planning on making reviews on my blog on anime I've watched. I might post them on MAL if the review is worthy of showing to the public in the site.

And yes I agree Otoshimono is one of my favorites, Ikaros will forever be my angel sweetheart. <3

Yes I just watched it and now Im at ease with finishing the series completely. Thank you I didn't know there was another episode (it didn't come with my download).

Try to watch chobits, even though it's an old anime
or maybe sakurasou no pet na kanojo? It has somewhat similar aura with sora no otoshimono.
