I don't enjoy slice of life, yuri, or yaoi. Prefer an anime with a good overarching plot and character development. Good plot over good graphic/animation. The pacing can also make or break an anime.

I rate anime base on a mix of personal enjoyment and objectified view. I rarely rate manga unless I am really incentivized to do so.

I am not a masochist so I will never force myself to complete an anime/manga that I don't enjoy.

I am a strong believer that the star rating system is extremely limiting and with anime/manga, people should really try whatever catches their eyes as appose to blindly following the reviews.

I largely prefer manga over anime since I can take it at my own pace(I'm a really fast reader).
