Clannad Afterstory is basically the continuation of the Clannad much like a season 2 so it is strongly recommended to watch the first season before this.
It follows the story of a couple who met during high school days up into their adulthood, or I guess that would be somehow an appropriate term.
So despite those many popular animes today, what makes clannad AS a top ranking series here in MAL?
Story (10)
It was not the typical high-school-students + slice-of-life series. First of all, it is a drama story, a very dramatic drama XD. You will sense the maturity in each episode as everything is very realistic

(that is putting the robot thing aside) and will agree on where the author is trying to put the story into. In addtion, unlike other anime, clannad has its own unpredictability factor which make its every single viewers keep their sense of interest in the anime.
Characters (10)
Honestly nothing is really new, there still goes the typical H-S + S-O-L character ingredients (the passive protagonists, tsunderes, immatures, nerd, fighter and the shy one) but best thing is, the characters are not STUPID, in a way that they are not stupid enough to be very stupid and become very forgettable after you finish the series. Everyone had been made perfectly and were all very likable.
Art and Sound (9)
Although the art and sound is highly satisfactory, I see nothing very special in both, I didn't enjoy the music very much as I do in other animes theme, but still, it doesn't change the fact that overall it is but a wonderful work.
Enjoyment and Overall (10)
So did I enjoy it?? Of course it is a BIG YES. I am not overstating the series, but truthfully, it is masterpiece. It was the first time for me to have cried for not more than just twice or thrice. Every damn episodes will surely attack your heart at its deepest core. Indeed, it is more than JUST an anime, it IS a life changing experience for me and I will always consider my self blessed for finding a story like this.

To be honest, the story was not really that unique as I've read other yaois with quite the similar story flow. Given that it has its great scenes (not to mention the good art) you may find some of its parts to be quite dull. The sex scenes was not really that great but is tolerable at some point. What I liked the most and definitely the strongest point of the manga is the characters, takagi, the saddist boss and kondou, his bashful subordinate who is always being bullied by him, not to mention the others. Reading the first chapters, I thought that this was a fantasy type manga, with the story revolving about a *real magician* and how would he make a dramatical change in a life of a very poor woman. Indeed, the story was very unique and well-thought of.
What was great about the art is that it was perfectly made that it totally blended with the story being under the *mystery* genre. I found it to be quite odd at some point but have gotten grown fonder with it somehow.
To make it totally short, it is a story about realizing your true dreams, what you would do

to achieve it, and what will you do afterwards. The manga is a must-read masterpiece in its own weird way that will surely drag you in the magical world of wonders, leaving you with the one single question. . . Do you believe in magic????

AND THE ANIME WITH THE BEST ENDING EVER AWARD GOES TO. . .
Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Bokutachi wa Mada Shiranai!!!
Men, this anime totally blew my heart away. . .for those who have already watched it, you probably know what i'm saying. One thing that I have been sensitive the most is the ending part. I have watched many GREAT animes that is undeniably have great plot and climax but totally slides down in the ending leaving a little impact in my heart for eternity. Fortunately, this is something that is different with those and is really worth watching.

to the synopsis, at the first episodes you might find it dull or boring, but as you patiently watch it, you will notice how the story steps up and will surely hook you up until the end.
The art is not really so great but not really bad, the character design is great, specially Yukiatsu and Anrou =). the sound was great, I find myself having a last song syndrome in the closing theme.). The characters are well blended and have their own problems which the anime really have focused on and probably one of their strong points.
Overall, this is a story about true friendship, accepting death and moving on with our lives treasuring people who remained with us. As I said earlier, you might find the first episodes to be boring but those who have enthusiastically continue it until the end, a great reward of wisdom and heartwarming moment awaits you. Enjoy!! =)

An academy award winning film, I thought it wouldn't hurt to try it, so I watched it and find myself stumbling in different emotions moment for moment. Surely it is fun-filled movie that any age would totally enjoy!
Story (9)
Given the fact that there are many "alice-comes-to-wonderland" series to be found now, this one would totally not fail to stand out above the others. Matching the great animation of the movie is the well-though out background musics, I enjoyed feeling the movie more with the bgm and sound effects, both categories really gave justice to fantasy side of the series.
Characters (10)
Ok the characters made me crazy hahaha, its as if everyone has a bipolar or split personality. It was crazy but I love all of them. The writer totally succeed in making even the antagonists be loved by all the viewers (well at least thats what I felt). And to top that all like all the other fantasy series spirited away had also cute creatures.
Enjoyment/Overall(10)
Overall I really enjoyed watching the whole movie. There are dull moments but still, it will totally play with your heart jumping from one emotion to another. I felt an incredible storm in my heart. Indeed. this is one of those movie, you would want to watch over again, every time you find yourself bored and left with nothing to do in that monitor of yours XD

With the synopsis of the manga, it was interesting and catchy. . .
It was my first time reading something like this so i could say that the originality of the plot is good. Although at first, we could say that it was a little childish, but the story proved it wrong as one of the lessons that the story taught me is that there are more things hidden beyond what are eyes could see. The writer did a great job with it and i would totally recommend this for yaoi fans who don't like ecchis.

neat. It wasn't so confusing (for sometimes i encounter mangas who gets me crazy for thinking who says what).
With the characters, I am honestly still confused with why Seryou become like that (having different girls every weekend). The story didn't have a flash back of what what the main cause of his behaviour, but what i like the most about the two main characters is the mysteriousness that surrounds them. Not so much flashbacks about the past before the two actually meet. And I think thats what will make the writer to write a continuation to the story =)
Overall I should say, it was a heart pounding moment for me, worth a time and i really enjoyed this. The anxiousness that this will bring to the readers will definitely make the story original, memorable and wonderful
