Cool, thanks for the recs. I'll check those games out when I get the Switch (except FFX/X-2 'cause I already have it on PC). I played a bit of Breath of the Wild on one of my friend's Switch and it was pretty good, although I haven't played most Zelda games. I think I only played Wind Waker when I was a kid and don't remember much from it. Still, BOTW on it's own is quite the game.

I'm already pretty hyped but that vid might make me even more excited for the game. I'll write my thoughts after I finish watching the video.
Edit: Yep, still hyped lol
I don't know how I feel about the whole Dynamax thing but the open world looks gorgeous. It kinda reminds me of the wide open maps on some "Tales of" games, specifically Zestiria and Berseria.

Jalter's next rate up is around January next year so you could potentially save up a lot of quartz for a good chance at getting her. As for Ishtar yeah she's pretty OP, and one of my faves. She'll get a rate up around Christmas this year, and Merlin's next one will be around September. They're pretty close together.. I guess you'll have to choose which one you want the most, unless you get lucky and have enough leftover quartz for another one.

My favorite ones are Jay's and Alessandro's new masks, they look amazing. Jays's masks seems like a mix between Paul's and Joey's old masks to me. Now that you mention it, Corey's new mask does seem to have a Joker vibe to it. Looking at it that way, Corey's mask makes a lot more sense. The new member's mask seemed pretty badass when I first saw it but now I can't unsee it as "pancake" or "tortilla" face. I thought it was funny how some people on reddit were calling the new guy "Chrisn't".

That was a nice surprise. I'll give it a listen when I have the time.

Congrats on graduating! Seems like forever ago when I graduated high school, but I remember it being a nice feeling. Also, Happy Birthday! How does it feel to be a legal adult? I personally don't feel much different at 24 lol..

Nice, glad you've enjoyed the Bioshock series so far. Omega Ruby was pretty good but I prefer the original, although that's probably just the nostalgia talking. A remake of Emerald would be awesome. Even though I have more of an attachment to Ruby because of it being my first Pokemon game, I would say that Emerald is better for the reasons that you mentioned. Pokemon Sword and Shield looks pretty sick too. I'll probably buy the Switch sometime this year. Besides Pokemon, I'm also interested in playing the new Fire Emblem game on the Switch, and maybe Shin Megami Tensei V too.

Cool, FGO is the kind of game that you can play at your own pace, but the more you play, the more you progress in terms of leveling your servants and all that stuff. Is there any particular servant that you're interested in? Since the NA version of FGO is 2 years behind JP, you can pretty much plan ahead on which servants you want to roll for.

YES! Can't wait to listen to the full album \m/ I'm also looking forward to the studio version of those songs since the crowd is too loud like you said. I understand being excited at a concert but some people seem like they're not even paying attention to the band, so annoying.

Yeah I just listened to it! I think I still prefer "All Out Life" but it was a great song nonetheless. It seems like "Unsainted" will be the radio single, kinda like how "The Devil in I" was on their last album. I hope the rest of the album will have some heavy hitters. I'm still expecting something heavier than All Out Life. As for the masks, I like them better than the ones they had on The Gray Chapter, except for Corey's. I'm not sure how I feel about his new mask.. I think it will take a while for me to get used to it.

So how was Infinite? Did you finish it already?
Sounds cool, I might get it too. Ruby was the first Pokemon game I played and it's also my favorite, but that one got a 3DS remake that I also played, so I guess I got my nostalgia fix with that. I'd like to play Fire Red/Leaf Green again though, which are also remakes..

Do you still plan on playing it? The earlier singularities aren't that great story-wise so it might not give the best impression, but the story gets so much better after the America singularity, especially on Camelot and Babylonia (not to mention the Babylonia singularity will be getting an anime soon-ish).

Welp, it seems like that whole Chris Fehn case got worse. I'm not sure if it was his lawyer or Slipknot's manager that said it, but now they're saying that Chris was only a "hired gun". Imagine being considered a hired gun after giving 20 years of your life to a band. Bridges couldn't be more burnt at this point.

Nice, It's refreshing to hear this kind of metalcore in 2019. I've kinda moved on from metalcore since it's hard to find interesting bands of that genre these days, but I still listen to a few newer bands like Code Orange and Knocked Loose (although those bands lean more towards hardcore).

Cool, let me know what you think about Bioshock Infinite when you finish it. The interactions between Booker and Elizabeth are one of my favorite parts in the game.

I'll start with those then. I remember listening to "Through the Wire" from The College Dropout album when I was a kid. I really liked that song but I didn't know it was a Kanye song at the time. I realized it was just a couple of days ago.. Anyways, "Niggas In Paris" and "Otis" were really good. I guess I used to avoid Kanye in the past due to his personality but I'm more open minded these days. Whether you love him or hate him, the guy knows how to write songs.

Sounds like a nice phone. Mines not that great but eh it gets the job done. I just prefer to play the games on my PC. Some of those 1-3 star servants are actually pretty good though so I wouldn't burn all of them. You never know when they might come in handy. You might have seen it already but here's a tier list for those lower rarity servants Btw your FGO name is "Baphomet" right? Just making sure..

Yeah I heard. The worst part is that we don't even know for sure who's in the wrong in this. It seems like a really dumb move from Chris to sue the band over a money dispute before confronting them about it, but maybe he did try to talk to Corey/Clown and it didn't work out. Like you said, could be that Chris got greedy, or that the rest of the band just fucked him over. Either way, I'm still looking forward to their new album since that's still happening, but I'm worried about the future of the band. It seems unlikely to me that Chris will be replaced, unless it's by a former member from the MFKR days. Otherwise it would just feel unnatural. Well.. regardless of who's at fault here, Slipknot will never be the same again (although some might argue that it has never been the same since Paul died).

I can't remember much from the 2nd one, but the first Bioshock was pretty memorable. I guess in terms of story I probably enjoyed the first one more too. Are you going to play Bioshock Infinite later on? It's a bit different compared to the other Bioshock games but I still quite enjoyed it.

I liked Aloha, especially the trumpets on the song, but Denzel was great as usual ofc. Nice, I didn't know he produced those albums. I listened to "Astroworld" months ago but I remember enjoying most of the album. Thanks for the recs, I thought "Reborn" and "Feel The Love" were really great too. I'm gonna have to check out more from "Kids See Ghosts" soon, and Kanye West in general.

Congrats! What phone did you get? Glad you're enjoying it. I wasn't a huge fan of mobile games before but now FGO is one of my favorite games.. (but then again I'm playing it on PC with an emulator so maybe it's just the "mobile" part that I didn't like). Those are all great servants so you're off to a good start, but unlike other similar games, most units are actually pretty good or at least usable, so you won't have to worry about getting trash tier/unusable servants. I haven't heard of Valkyrie Connect but I might give it a try if it's that similar to FGO. Btw I just sent you a request. Also I recommend you get a transfer code if you haven't already in case you ever lose the account because it can be hard to regain without one.

Good choice, the Bioshock games are really worth playing. I played them when I was a teen but they still scared the shit out of me lol. It's not even a horror game but it had a few jump scares and the overall mood/tone of the game made it a bit nerve racking. Those were $16 well spent, and yeah they do have some good discounts and stuff like flash sales every once in a while. Hopefully Persona 5 gets a discount someday on the PS store so you can get it at a good price.

The Witcher 3 had a decent amount of nudity, but most of it was optional (i.e. prostitutes). There were only like 2 or 3 story scenes with nudity, mostly involving Geralt and his love interest, depending on who you choose. Fire Emblem: Awakening is only available on the 3DS. It's one of the best games on the 3DS imo so I'd say it's definitely worth buying if you ever decide to get another 3DS. As for the Persona games, they are all standalone stories, so you can play them in any order. Persona 4 Golden was my introduction to the series, then I played P3 and P5.

I really liked that Discordance Axis album, and I thought it was neat how they had a few Evangelion references here and there on their songs. That Insect Warfare album was on a whole other level though, it has to be one of the best Grindcore albums that I've listened to. Too bad it's the only full album that they've done, but it seems like they have a bunch of EP's so I gotta check those out.

He did! That was an amazing cover, hell I think it was the best cover of that song period. He really had the passion for it, and that verse of his was a nice add-in too. Denzel is starting to become one of my favorite artists tbh.
Alfond Feb 13, 7:30 PM
There were more than a few surprises for sure. I never expected 2B to die halfway through the game, and that part with Pascal fucked me up too. It's a pretty tragic game, but at least in one of the endings they are all alive in the end. If ending C or D were the true ending, it would have been a really powerful way to end the game, but man I would've been completely crushed. Nier: Automata was a roller coaster of emotions..
That looks like a really good video so yeah I'll be checking it out when I have the time.

Well.. most of my favorites are super long RPGs so it would be hard to recommend unless you have a lot of free time (which I don't have these days sadly). The Persona games (3-5) for example, are at least around 80 hours long, with Persona 5 being closer to 100 hours long. The Dishonored games however are around 15-20 hours long so I would recommend those for sure. You mentioned that you couldn't buy them though? I saw the definitive edition of Dishonored on the Playstation Store for PS4, and Dishonored 2 was in there too. Maybe it doesn't appear on the PS4 store but you can find them on the website. You can buy them there and they'll appear on your PS4 later to download them.

If you ever have enough free time though (and don't have the same restrictions you have now), I would definitely recommend the other games I mentioned. I think they all leave you with this "post-game depression" feel since they are so long and some of them have really powerful endings. Right now, Persona 5, Tales of Berseria, Witcher 3, and the Dishonored games are on the PS4, but I've heard rumors about BioWare releasing the Mass Effect Trilogy on the PS4 someday so hopefully that happens. If you have any questions about any of those games, just let me know.

Season 3 had great fights. The Deku vs Muscular fight was also a highlight of the season, gave me goosebumps. It'd be cool if they did something similar to Naruto Shippuden, a sequel series where they're all older and appear as heroes.

That part on Percs was my favorite too. The whole song goes in pretty hard. All the songs on that album have some nasty bass on them too. I played the album on my car and the bass was insane, especially on SUMO, I thought my speakers were gonna break or something..
Black Balloons was great too, he has a good singing voice imo.

Yeah that was definitely a dick move, but if it's true, we won't have to wait much longer. Still, I'm gonna dial down on the hype too since it's been so long since their last album and everyone's expectations at this point are so high. I think it will be a great album, but whether it ends up surpassing everything they have done, well.. we'll just have to wait and see.

Not many these days, the last console game I played was Red Dead Redemption 2, and it was a damn good game. The next big game I'll be getting is Cyberpunk 2077 when it comes out. If it's anything like the Witcher 3 in terms of quality, I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of it. Nice, let me know whenever you start playing FGO so I can add you. However, you can also play it on PC if you have decent specs. I'm playing it on the Nox emulator since the game was kinda laggy on my phone, and it runs much smoother on my PC. I'm not a huge fan of online multiplayer games so I don't think I'll be getting Anthem (plus i'm kinda wary of BioWare after the mess that Andromeda was..). Nier Automata was amazing, one of my favorite games of all time without a doubt. The soundtrack, the story, the characters.. everything about that game is top tier. I had a really bad case of "post-game depression" when I finished that game. I was like "what is my life now?" lol. And yeah, 2B has one of the finest asses in, well everything. You mean game recommendations? Well, if you haven't played them already, I would recommend most of my favorites :

Persona 3, 4, and 5
Fire Emblem: Awakening
Tales of Berseria
The Witcher 3
Fallout New Vegas
Dishonored 1 and 2
Mass Effect 1, 2, and 3

The third season had some great moments, but season 2 is still my favorite of the three. Can't go wrong with a good ol' tournament arc. Season 4 will probably be better though. I knew most about the chronological order regarding Steins;Gate 0, but I didn't know about watching the last 2 episodes of the original after 0. Makes sense, I imagine 0 ends around the time present Okabe watches the video that future/alternate Okabe sent.

Yeah All Out Life sounds like their newer stuff mostly, although the drum part in the middle kinda reminded me of Vol 3, specifically "The Blister Exists". It was a pretty badass song overall. Well, having a younger drummer is kinda cheating lol, it adds a lot to that energy, especially on live performances. I like Get This, but playing Gematria or any other unplayed song from AHIG would have been way better.

Sounds like a plan. I'll be checking out Radiohead soon.

If I made a list of my top favorite albums from last year, I think TA13OO would be up there too. My favorite song from the album is probably PERCS | PERCZ, but I liked most of the songs in the album. Thanks for the recommendations, I'll be checking them out after Radiohead, especially the new Daughters album since I've listened to some of their songs before, and I enjoyed most of them.
Alfond Jan 16, 12:26 AM
That's a good daily routine. I kinda just wing it everyday so I don't have like a set schedule to watch anime or anything. I probably have more spare time than I think so setting a routine would be a good idea. I'm pretty indecisive too when it comes to choosing what to watch. I should finish watching Steins Gate 0 though..

Now that I think about it, the reason I have more listening time on Sundays is because that's when I take my sister to her university every week and I listen to songs on the way, and since it's a fairly long drive, I get more listening time on those days. Yeah I really liked the new Slipknot song, although I hope there are heavier songs on the album since they were hyping it up as it being "Iowa levels of heavy". I haven't checked out the 10th anniversary of AHIG yet but it's nice that they did something for it. I wish they played the title track live for the occasion, or another AHIG song that they haven't played, like Gematria.

Knowing the history behind the album sure helps with understanding it. I still gotta give it a few more listens but I can appreciate the album a bit more now. I can see how that exchange between Trent Reznor and Sharon Tate's sister really affected him and the outcome of the album.

Seems like I've been missing out then. Can't say I have listened to their songs before you showed me "Paranoid Android", not even Creep. I did listen to Creep now and it was a good song but I enjoyed Paranoid Android way more, probably because it reminded me of early Muse. Some people say that Muse was influenced my Radiohead but others say that they were both influenced by Jeff Buckley. All I know is that both bands sound kinda similar on some songs/albums. But yeah I'll definitely check them out since I do like Muse. I know I'll enjoy OK Computer if it's anything like the few songs that I've listened from it, and I've heard good things about The Bends.

Yeah I've listened to Denzel Curry before. Memes aside, Ultimate is actually a pretty cool song lol
I didn't know he did Ultimate for a while since I discovered him on the XXL Freshman Cypher he was in and I think Ultimate came out before that. It's been a while since I've listened to him though and I didn't even know he had a new album.. I'll be checking that one out as well. Can't wait to hear how it sounds on my car (dat bass).
Alfond Jan 5, 10:06 PM
Ah, I see.. It's fine, still cool that he had some involvement with the band.

Hmm 60 episodes..
It's actually not that much considering some of the anime that I've watched, but nowadays my schedule is all over the place. Sometimes I'll marathon various series in a few days/weeks and other times I might end up not watching anything in months. I wish I could watch more anime right now but I don't have the time since I'm on a family trip and we basically spend most of the time outside.

Good news indeed, but damn I didn't realize how long it has been since the last album..
It doesn't feel that long to me since I got into them just a few months ago.

Eyy interesting stuff. What is it with Sundays and listening to music? I got the most listens on Sunday too lol
Speaking of NIN, I listened to The Downward Spiral. It was a really interesting album, although I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It had some great songs for sure (March of the Pigs and The Becoming were my favorites, and Hurt too ofc), but the overall sound will take a bit for me to get used to it. Some parts reminded me of Korn though, I can see now how Korn was influenced by them. Paranoid Android was amazing.. if I wasn't interested in Radiohead before, I sure am now. Apparently the song was used in Ergo Proxy as an OST, but I haven't watched that anime. Asobi Seksu is mostly a shoegazy/indie rock band imo, but if you meant Boa then Alt Rock seems about right. Here's one of Asobi Seksu's more popular songs if you're interested:

Here's some of their more Shoegazy/Noise stuff:

It's Too Late

Red Sea

One of my favorite bands right there. As for Boa, you might recognize them from the Serial Experiments Lain OP. That song is great, but the whole "Twilight" album is amazing from start to finish imo.
