I see you watched Chungking Express and like it a lot. I rewatched it today and enjoyed it more compared to my first watch mostly because I was watching it on a big TV instead of a phone LOL. What did you like about it?
I also rewatched The Good, The Bad and The Ugly after not seeing it in a decade and was very close to becoming one of my favourite movies (4.5/5 Star movies that are nearly 5/5). It was like an out of body experience watching it. It felt like I was transported and breathed inside its western world. Just stunning cinematography, atmosphere and score. It has the
barest bones of plots yet its 3 hour length breezed by quickly for me because I just wanted to follow the characters and their dynamic with others everywhere doing their thing.
I usually have a rule that if any long movie (3 hours) entertains me, then it's automatically a 4 star movie on Letterboxd for me. Godfather was definitely so and its depiction of family as a driving force behind nearly everything about the movie was pretty damn solid. It's opening minutes is better than the entire series of Fast and Furious franchise of Vin Diesel uttering 'family' constantly.
Really nice to see your 2014-2017 Top 10 list! Some thoughts:
2014:
Actually haven't seen The Grand Budapest Hotel yet. The Wolf of Wall Street is technically a 2013 movie btw. Besides that, 4 of the movies in your Top 10 are also in my top 10 of 2014 too! 2014 is probably one of the strongest years of movies for me. I could make a Top 20 alone to be honest.
2015:
6 of the movies in your Top 10 are also in my top 10 of 2015! In particular, Mad Max: Fury Road and Inside Out are in my top 3 too!
2016:
This is probably the strongest year for animated movies in history IMO. 2016 had Your Name, Zootopia, A Silent Voice, Kubo and the Two Strings, Finding Dory, Kung Fu Panda 3, Sausage Party, Moana and In this Corner of the World! 5 in the movies your Top 10 are also in my top 10 of 2016 also!
2017:
I haven't seen or heard The Killing of a Sacred Deer so I might have to check it out. 5 of the movies in your Top 10 of 2017 are also in my top 10. Didn't like Dunkirk as much you did since I didn't see in the cinema/IMAX which hurt my experience. I'm surprised you have The Lego Batman Movie in your top 10 even though it's my number 1. I think I'm like the only one that liked it that much because it works well as an animated movie, superhero movie and batman movie making it very versatile.
Overall, based from your list on average, half of the movies in your yearly top 10 are also in my top 10 which means our tastes are pretty similar! Have a look at my Top 10 lists from 2014-2017 and tell me what you think!
I think you seen enough movies in recent years to make a Top 10 list now like I did. I'm interested to see your top 10 movies of 2017, 2016, 2015, etc :D

I wrote a review of it when I watched it last year:

The first half was a little too slow for my liking but it makes perfect sense when you watch the ending.
