Oh yeah, how's WA2 going for you? I watched the anime and thought it was pretty good. Also heard that the VN is even better and longer.

I just finished reading Sakura no Uta and I think it's the most beautiful story I've ever experienced! It's Sca-Ji's masterpiece. I don't think any other story can come close to leaving that big of an impression on me. And now, I wait for the sequel...

Time would be less of an issue if u say no to Seasonal anime.

Truth hurts.

I'll admit it, SSY mostly looks like crap, and Clannad:AS is probably one of the best directed (if only a bit over the top, though e.g. animating the illusion world in ones was a nice move to give it a more ethereal atmosphere) and animated shows (as in, character acting and overall attention to detail) I've seen, though a bit over the top for my taste.

why watch anime and read the disgusting r/anime when porn novels are objectively superior?

Time tbqh. I also have no references of what's gud, and would probably end up running into what are probably duds like Muv Luv or boring stuff like Fate/SN. Whenever I bother to get the software I'd probably start with Umineko, since it's apparently the greatest piece of fiction ever conceived, and mystery-thriller seems to be something I'd enjoy more.

One of the higher affinities I've seen, added!

There were a few heartwarming scenes here and there, but I don't think they're anywhere near SubaHibi's level yet. I'm one more route away from the Zypressen route, which is supposedly the point SakuUta becomes awesome! I think you should give it a try, as you could definitely feel Sca-Ji's storytelling improve as you get later in the story.

Hey there!

I haven't really been watching much anime as well, but I have been occasionally reading Sakura no Uta, which is starting to get pretty good. Finals are coming up for me next week, so recently I've just been buckling down and studying for them.

It's never too late to get active again!

LOL finally a circle that gets it.

If you are mildy interested in a SoL comedy with very lowkey drama towards the very end, I'd suggest you to watch it. It's definetly one or two tiers above the average CGDCT show in characters, themes and direction.

Actually yeah. Kinda surprising because I didn't really think that it would be something for me but Katawa Shoujo got me pretty hyped!

Utena is amazing, but it's a flawed gem. There's a lot of reused footage (the stair sequence is so amazing though that I could rewatch it on a loop) some episodes could be completely removed, and it's overall a low budget show, but it's so heavily stylized and inventive in its delivery that I can't help but love it.

Think that if Princess Tutu is an anime ballet, Utena is an anime rock opera. There's a lot of meaning and powerful characterization once you get past whatever the director thought it'd be good to include after eating weird mushrooms on a daily basis, but I personally got to really love the show after a rewatch. Hope you like it at least a little bit :P
