I was a closeted anime fan all through my childhood, high school, and most of my college experience. A particularly tough semester made me look for something new to escape from all the craziness and I found a new love for anime.

I love the craziness and hype that comes with a good show. I also feel a need to relate to characters deeply on an emotional level, while feeling invested in a storyline that has an epic scale. Anime so often has all those qualities and that's why I'm so happy to say I'm a fan of this genre of entertainment.
