You can always look online for an example resume and use it to help you figure out what to put on yours. I hope I get it as well. Just so I don't have to job hunt anymore. It does^^
I haven't written a cover letter yet. As for my resume I used one of the templates Word has and my mom helped me with it. If you have templates for different types of documents on Word, look for the resume one and go with the simplest form they have. Company's want sweet, simple and direct, not long and drawn out. Also resume's need to be a page only. If you have to much info that exceeds to two pages see what of that info you can take out.
Just because that was months ago doesn't mean they don't need you now OR at least won't take your application. Normally if they aren't hiring they'll still let you fill out an app and look at it once they start hiring. Thanks. I got a call from a vet that I turned a resume in at. They want me to fill out an app for a part time receptionist they have. I'll be doing that tomorrow ^^
Your welcome. Good luck on the search. Oh! and I forgot one. The 7-Eleven by Sierra has paper applications or at least they did when I went by last week.
Not sure where at you live so I'm going to give this list of paper apps based on whats around Sierra:
Captain D's
Black Jack Pizza (sometimes they don't have paper apps so they'll ask you to go to the website and print one off)
Papa Johns
Papa Murphys. The guy at Papa Murphys said they aren't hiring right now but to expect to be hiring this month sometime.
This list is based on whats around the Sand Creek Library:
Little Ceasars
Carls Jr.
Oreilly Auto Parts
Wendys (Sometimes they don't have paper apps so they'll tell you to apply online)
Big Lots
They always take apps even if they aren't hiring at the time. They keep your app on file for a certain time frame. Some places have your app for 6 months, but keep applying every month. Remember being a squeaky wheel ;)
They don't want to hire me either cause I also have no experience. But if you get an interview they are at least willing to consider you. Think of it that way.
There are it's just they don't want to train someone who has no experience when they have others who have experience. They can't afford to train someone in the current state of the economy which is BS in my opinion. But just keep looking, I know it's frustrating. Have you had an interview at least?
If you pay attention to how much you have every semester I'm sure you'll make it last. I've made one of my semesters stipends last until the new semesters stipend came in. So do I. I need to do something next to looking for a job. I'm getting bitched at by mother for sitting on my ass at home, cause she thinks I'm not looking for a job.
