Although I was excited for the second season of this show, the anime itself is lacking in some regard. I still recommend a watch. Now, the primary source material does state this is not a romance main story, therefore the story isn't mainly a romance. In my opinion it is quite disappointing to go this way, but it makes sense since we don't see a lot of romance development. The best part in this whole entire season is Albert Hawke. It is because he is the greenest flag I have ever seen in anime history. Although, he may not directly show his feelings the way

he thinks about her is so sweet. That is why this season should be worth watching. He knows that Sei is inexperienced in love so he doesn't try to do anything that would make her uncomfortable. You can really see that is becoming slowly and slowly flirtatious and never crossing any lines. He always listens to anything she has to say and finds joy in doing so. This really does set the standard for all people. People may say he is just a pretty face but he is much more than that. I feel quite sad because the anime cuts out the stuff from the novel that comes from his point of view (so people do not think of Albert this way but only people who read the novel). This is why I say read the novel first then watch the anime because you look at the anime differently. I wish they added more scenes where he does think about her.
Albert Hakwe: In the last episode he does really go above and beyond to respect her. He acknowledges that he wants to talk it slower which is sweet of him. He always continues to put her feelings first even before he proposes to her. We learn from his perspective that he really did love her from the very beginning. I just watched them add more of his perspective.
Sei Takanashi: Sei actually is a pretty relatable character. She is compassionate and very kind. In a way she does it unconsciously. She has real human emotions. In this season we see that she continues to build her personality. Like for example expressiveness towards food. She also has feelings of doubt just like every other person. This proves that she is human and makes her character feel realistic.
Action: Now this series is not an action main story it clearly shows this in episode 9. It is pointed out by Yuri Drewes that her powers are used to mainly purify the miasma. People always claim that there is not a lot of action. Well yeah this anime is not a fighting anime. Sei herself establishes that she is always being protected but she can do nothing because her powers really limit her. But she works hard and even says that she wants to protect anyone in any way she can by using area heal. She does put herself in danger by accompanying the knights. It is because she could potentially harm herself and the people could lose the only person who could fight against the miasma. Sei herself knows that her protection is of utmost importance but she is willing to take the extra risk and help them. There are occasional battle scenes with monsters because her powers are made for purifying them not really attacking them more like making them permanently disappear.
Romance: I do love the romantic scenes but I just want a little more. The anime does skip a lot of unnecessary scenes in the novel such as irrelevant cooking that doesn't really add to the plot. However, I do say give this anime a chance because there is also another reason why there isn't that much romantic development. The author had stated in one of their interviews in the novels that Sei doesn't have that much experience in the romance area. But I feel like that shouldn't be an excuse to limit the amount of romance development. People may say the story is quite bland (it is to some extent). However, it is still a slice of life anime so there shouldn't be too much drama. Sei herself is a well written character because she really is someone who was a workaholic; so it wouldn't make sense for her to magically become someone who is well-versed in the romantic aspect. But the source is still ongoing so there could be room for some character development because she is relatively new to this so her change will take longer. It is also very realistic because no one can change to something crazy that fast. It also shows that Sei's personality is more shown in this season. But in the manga and novel they tend to highlight more of her emotions and personality.
Animation: The animation overall is still pretty good the pacing itself should be a little faster but it is technically a slow burn romance. The episodes tend to jump with no smooth consistencies (this is due to them cutting a lot of stuff from the novel). The novel source material is quite longer than a typical manga, so that is probably why it was hard for them to keep it short.

This is such a good isekai anime. It is really a hidden gem!! And very underrated. For starters it actually gives a good background information about the kingdom and what is going on about it. The story art IS AMAZING both in the manga, light novel, and anime. I would suggest reading the light novel as well because it gives so much detail about it. And in the manga there are some cute scenes that the anime has left out. The characters designs are well thought out and I love how the characters treat one another. Everyone is treated well and no one is
