Hi! I stumbled across your anime recommendation system, and have some feedback.
First of all, it's so cool that you decided to do that. You should definitely promote it on the general anime discussion forum, because that is the one most often used by and visited by people because of its visibility.
As for feedback, (UI aside, haha) I think that you could benefit from not recommending un-watched specials and OVAs (as often, at least) in the list of just 5. For me, I received 2/5 OVA/special episodes for shows I'd long forgotten about. It may be possible because there are various scraping tools that exist which can sort sequel/related series from stand alone ones. Second, I might suggest against sequel recommending, because the logic that gets a system there is often laden with a lot of implicit bias because of the audience drawn to the sequel, especially if it's not popular. Possibly defaulting to the most popular series in the "related" section to recommend might be a move. I also got a music video recommendation, which is totally cool, but it isn't really helpful when only 5 anime are recommended.
But honestly, I did it for a friend's list and I think it works super well in the case of people that haven't watched as much anime. I've gained insight from this, so thanks very much! Again, I recommend posting your tool on the anime discussion forum because it'll gain traction and ppl will give better feedback there if you are interested.
