Woow. That's a nice comment. It's a really amazing review...
I read it over and over again. I think it's a book that I can love, I don't really like comedy, but my friends suggested it very much. No one has made enough suggestions for me. Thank you very much for this suggestion. I'il read it as soon as I can.
By the way, you're writing really good >////< Can you make me a manga suggestions sometimes?
And how are today? ≧◡≦

Hi, I don't know how I found you. I want to read Grand blue and I saw this manga on your favorite list. How was it? I'm really curious. Please answer me *-*

Yeah, I'm not saying Madoka is bad, just not worth the high praise it gets. I watched it a long time ago though, but honestly don't feel like revisiting it... just by looking at your list I see no reason why you won't like it. Just as an fyi, the show is not as long as it seems. It's really 25 episodes long, but during the broadcast the second cour's episodes were split in two... And I noticed you don't drop often. You could say the same about me but not really. If I can't even complete the first episode I don't bother adding it. However, if I watch one or two episodes I finish it just for the sake of it lol.

And sorry for not replying sooner. I wanted to read your WT! instead of just the section on the spoiler... I like how you focus on the two major themes of the show: The unprejudiced view of the different types of love presented (same sex relationship, age gap, fraternal love, romantic love) and a subtle coming of age (most noticeable on Syaoran and Sakura). But there are other selling points you could have mentioned too, like the creativeness of the various costumes Sakura wore throughout the show (most maho shojo stay with the same outfit) or the great dynamic of the characters. Something I commonly see in Sakura reviews and always like when it is mentioned, is how well the show has aged in both animation and enjoyment. Is a show that superficially looks very girlish but it can easily be enjoyed by anyone of any gender or age.

How are the seasonals treating you? Anything you liking so far? For me it has been a big disappointment but there are some like Mitsuboshi Colors and After the Rain which I look forward every week.

Don't worry about it =)

Oh, you have a lot to watch if you really want to get into the genre. I don't know what's your opinion on Madoka, but for many is considered the deconstruction of the genre, something that's not true in the slightest. My suggestion is that you watch Princess Tutu next as you planned. It succeed in presenting a darker and less cheerful approach on the magical girl shows in the form of a grim fairy tale instead of recurring to shock factor. After that you can try one season of Doremi and see if you like it because finishing the franchise is a big commitment (around 200 episodes considering movies and OVAs)... Anyway, if you end up watching Tutu let me know what you think of it.

Oh, I was actually discussing that with a friend here. That Sakura is more of a romance with a magical girl setting rather than a maho shojo with a romance subplot. It's a slow burn for sure but had a very rewarding conclusion. All the buildup of the last arc and after watching them grow closer to each other for 70 episodes made those few minutes at the airport worth the wait. The show ended on such a high note for me I'm still a bit hesitant about the sequel and movie, even though everyone say both are very good.

Do you mind if I add you on Discord?

Thanks for the information. I don't know it was a sequel.
Valkeiser Mar 2, 9:45 AM
Yeah, if you're a fan of the magical girl genre Princess Tutu is a most. Is clearly different from Sakura in its tone and story but definitely something you'll enjoy. Actually, I'm trying to watch the major maho shojo shows this year. I've already watched Sakura and I'm halfway through the Doremi franchise. Others on my list are Full Moon and possibly revisit the original Sailor Moon series.

I agree with you on the first movie, saw it after episode 35 and wasn't a fan of it. As far as I know the second movie was anime original while the Clear Card OVA adapts the manga finale. What I'm actually looking forward in the Sealed Card movie (and possibly Clear Card) is more development on the romance aspect. Actually, Syaoran became a favorite character for me when he started realizing his feelings for Sakura in the Eriol arc.

Don't worry, I usually ask that when someone adds me. That's why I told you (:

Yeah, I recently rewatched it and loved it again. If it weren't for Tutu, Sakura would be my favorite of the genre. I plan to watch the movie this weekend and then wait 'til the sequel is over to watch it. What are your thoughts on both? I've heard some mixed opinions about them.
Valkeiser Mar 1, 11:00 PM
No problem! Saw you on some friends' profiles and decided to add you.

Love your Sakura pics =)

I don't really have strict guidelines for what manga I pick up, but now that I look at it, 5/10 of my favorites don't have an anime counterpart so that's kind of interesting. And the rest I really love the adaptation.

Series like Chihayafuru and HxH I read because I had almost 0 hopes of those getting a continuation. I couldn't be any happier being wrong about the former. Maybe one day in 2050, HxH will return

And then stuff like Berserk and One Piece it should be obvious why I'm reading :(

Dont worry, I'm exactly the same. Your manga list is no more awful than mine (especially compared to my anime list). Most of my logged manga are shows I watched first then transferred over.

I see you started it!! Hope you enjoy~
