I'll be honest: when the season started, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with KonoSuba based off of its early synopsis. To me, it made it sound like it was going to be some poorly written romance drama (Kind of like Ao No Kanata became, which I was actually fairly excited to see). I think I watched the first episode just for the hell of it, and I was extremely pleased to find that KonoSuba was NOT at all what I was expecting it to be.

I don't need to say how overplayed the "Transported to a game world" plot device is, because everyone read more

Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui is, for the most part, one of the most realistic anime I've ever watched.

Story - 7/10
There really isn't all that much of a story to be had in this anime, but it's good for what it's worth. We follow Kuroki Tomoko, a 15 year-old shut-in who is entering her first year of high school and makes it her master plan to become popular and enjoy her high school life surrounded by friends and admirers... Needless to say, absolutely nothing goes her way, and Tomoko oftentimes unintentionally puts herself into some of the most painfully embarrassing read more

Well, I think it's safe to say that Shinsekai Yori is definitely one of the most interesting anime I've seen thus far.

Story - 10/10
I really love everything about this show's premise. The concept is super interesting, the lore is amazingly intriguing, and each little piece of the puzzle is just so complex and genius in its integration into the overall plot. It seems that too often, when a story attempts a large time-leap, it is not executed properly. Shinsekai Yori, however, is a shining exception, even attempting multiple time-leaps throughout the series, and executing them all perfectly. You really get the sense that these characters read more

Oh Charlotte... You really know how to mess with my feelings towards you.

Story - 6/10
Now, before I get into any details, let me explain a few things. The concept behind the story of Charlotte is really good. Everything in this anime that is actually present is pure 10/10 material, and would have gotten a 10/10 in my eyes. The reason why I'm giving the story a low-ish score is because of the simple fact that there aren't enough episodes to execute Charlotte to it's true potential. No matter how you look at it, there is absolutely NO possible way to make Charlotte into what I read more

Non Non Biyori Repeat isn't a direct sequel to Non Non Biyori. As the subtitle "Repeat" may suggest, it begins where the original Non Non Biyori also begins, and ends where Non Non Biyori ended. Think of it more as a "deleted scenes" type deal, where the entirety of the second season takes place in between the events of the first season.

Story - 9/10
Who knew an anime about the average lives of average people living in the Japanese country-side could be so freaking great? Non Non Biyori (I'm just going to call it that since it's essentially the exact same anime as the first season) read more

Shiki (Anime) add (All reviews)
Since I watched this anime in chunks over the course of a little more than a month, take this review with a grain of salt... I may have to watch it over again to experience the full effect of the show.

Story - 9/10
Contrary to what many people seem to say, I enjoyed the slow pacing of the first part of Shiki (from what I can remember of it). It set an atmosphere surprisingly similar to that of a Slice-of-Life anime, which made the transitions from the beginning to the middle and from the middle to the end quite jarring. The concept of vampires, while nothing read more
