i like magical girls and cartoons that make me cry
❀ currently hyped about: Fruits Basket❀ ❀ 1st anime & 1st manga: Tokyo Mew Mew❀
how i rate stuff
i try to be as fair as possible, but personal bias inevitably enters into my judgements a bit. (i also don’t tend to watch/read anything that i’m likely to hate!)
i mostly follow the scoring suggestions given by mal itself, but here's some more deets for anyone interested:
10 (Masterpiece): no media is truly perfect, but i have little to no problems with these and they strike a chord with me personally. 9 (Great): highly recommended. thoroughly enjoyable and engaging, with some minor element(s) holding it back from a 10. 8 (Very Good): recommended. these may not go above and beyond, but are still very enjoyable watches/reads. 7 (Good): worth watching/reading, but not as special as those with higher ratings. 6 (Fine): either "just ok" or didn't live up to its full potential/has a fatal flaw. 5 (Average): nothing special. may feel like there's little passion behind it. 4 (Bad): disappointing and/or shallow. not worth watching/reading. 3 (Very Bad): extremely disappointing and poorly executed. a struggle to get through. 2 (Horrible): fails at almost everything it sets out to do. 1 (Appalling): totally incompetent. barely resembles an anime or manga.
when stuff gets scored
❀ all anime gets scored after it is completed/dropped. ❀ currently publishing manga gets provisionally scored once i catch up (and given a final score when completed/dropped). ❀ all other manga gets scored after it is completed/dropped.
❀ anything i have to say about particular entries gets put in tags ❀ i always watch subbed unless otherwise specified ❀ i update my lists obsessively because a) if i don't i will forget where i am in things and b) mal-sync is my best friend ❀ all disgustingly long mal-sync tags will get delet as soon as i no longer need them
