I will be comparing the anime to the manga because I believe that anything made after the original should be critically reviewed.
Lelouch vi Britannia (a prince of Britannia), hiding under the alias Lelouch Lamperouge, is given a great power--the power of Geass--by a mysterious girl. The power grants him the ability to give an order to anyone. He realizes he could change the world through his power to become emperor of Britannia and create an ideal world for his sister, Nunnally. However, the Geass he was given is far more destructive and powerful than he could imagine.

the glory of the anime. First off, there are no Knightmare Frames. I'm not a huge mecha fan, but Code Geass would have been incomplete without them! Second, I understand that the author(s) probably wanted to put their own take on the characters, but they looked a little off from the anime. Lelouch didn't strike me as the "I will take over Britannia and rule" type. He was just "meh" for me. The story changed a lot of events from the anime and didn't make them as epic as the anime. er--the power of Geass--by a mysterious girl. The power grants him the ability to give an order to anyone. However, the Geass he was given is far more destructive and powerful than he could imagine.

It tried to stay with the anime but didn't work out for me. The premise and overall plot were similar but seemed to leave too much behind. I was debating on giving it a 6, but since the main plot was there, I'd have to give it a 7.
Art: 7
Very neat. The details on the outfits were nice. The background was okay at times. Not much going on there. Still quite upset that Lelouch didn't really look like Lelouch throughout the series.
Character: 6
Most of them were simply static for me, except for Lelouch and Suzaku. The other characters like Nunnery and Milly stayed true to character as in the anime, which was nice.
Enjoyment: 8
I'll be nice and give it an eight since I was able to relive some moments of the anime through reading the manga.
Overall: 7
Try it. But if you've watched the anime and aren't really interested in the manga, you won't miss out.

I am not a gore person... unless there's a good reason behind that gore. And Parasyte gave me many good reasons to keep reading! The manga doesn't give a long, dragging introduction. Rather, it stars off with a bang. While sleeping, these organisms called Parasytes start taking over brains of living things by entering their ears. Shinichi Izumi, however, has headphones on so when a Parasyte attempts to enter through his ear, it buries itself in his arm! Shinichi discovers that the organism (which he later names Migi) has the ability to turn his arm into a weapon. Others who have Parasytes in them have

unfortunately become man-eating monsters. Thus, the fast-paced adventure to find out what the Parasytes purpose in the world begins...
Story: 9
I can't say much without giving away the whole story. Loved the premise of Parasytes taking over humans and turning them into monsters. Shinichi and Migi's journey is definitely worth the read. They encounter many obstacles to unveil the truth about Parasytes. The plot twists were mostly subtle but well done. I'm still not sure what to think of the conclusion. But the story was great overall.
Art: 7
While some of the drawings may be a bit rough-looking, I liked the design of the characters, mainly Migi and the Parasytes. I got a bit mixed up with some of the older male characters at times and had to read over it again to get their faces and names straight. The Parasytes are terrifying! And the gore scenes are drawn very well: viciously and with little left to the imagination.
Character: 8
Oh, Shinichi, you. Let me just say that Shinichi's character dynamics throughout were great. I loved how he battles for his humanity while having a Parasyte inside him. The struggle to remain human and come to the realization of what a human really was moved me. Migi completed the story. He was probably my favorite character. He doesn't give a crap and tells Shinichi how it is. His development was also well done. The female characters also contributed a lot to the story. Satomi Murano kept Shinichi sane as he fought to stay human. She wasn't really that strong, but I like how she was there to keep Shinichi grounded. I believe that was her main purpose in the series. Kana Kimishima, who is human but can sense Parasytes, was flat for me. She was just one of those characters there that just existed and was flat to me. Reiko Tamura was another strong character in the series. Seeing her change throughout the series was interesting. As for the other characters, they all contributed to the story, no matter how small their role was.
Enjoyment: 10
Really had a great time reading Parasyte.

Awesome manga. Don't let the fact that it was written over twenty years ago stop you from reading! It's just as good, if not even better, than many of the manga series out there.

At first, I was hesitant to watch Shingeki no Kyojin because too many people hyped it up. And, usually, when that happens, I normally end up watching only to find that it doesn't deserve any praise. However, I am so glad I gave SnK a chance!! From the very first episode, I was hooked! I knew there would be no way to escape. It's definitely not something wholly original, but the author obviously put a lot of time and thought to craft what I predict will be one of the best manga/anime ever. Story: 9. Your classic monsters vs. humans. But with a twist!
Shiganshina: 845. Humans are living in a walled city. The city is shaped like a circle and has three walls: Wall Maria, Wall Rose, and Wall Sina. The nobility lives in the innermost gate, Wall Sina. However, on a fateful day, Wall Maria is breached by Titans, leading to 20 percent of the population's death. Thus begins crunch time for the people in Shiganshina. I can't go any further, but basically the creatures called Titans want nothing more than to destroy humanity by eating/killing them. The reason, we're not so sure. You'll have to find out! ;) The Survey Corps are responsible for defeating the Titans, hoping to ultimately find a way to obliterate them. The main characters--Eren, Mikasa, and Armin--thus begin their long trial to find the truth in hopes of saving humanity.
Art: 9
Gritty and gory. The sometimes grainy effect contributes to the darkness of the story. The Titans look awesome. And I love the characters! They look so good. The scenery is wonderful.
Sound: 10
The soundtrack is so epic. Love the theme songs with the German mixed into them. The sounds when killing the Titans are spot on.
Characters: 7
Though the characters are the ones who pull the story together, I can't help but be annoyed by some traits they possess. And no, this is not about a love triangle. Even yells too much, Mikasa can get overprotective over Eren, and while Armin is smart, he can sometimes be annoyingly weak and whiny to the point that I just want to pull him out of the screen and shoot him. Levi seems to be a static character, but for me, his composure is commendable. Hanji is hilarious... what's not to love? The rest of the characters have distinctions among them, which makes them likable. But beware! Do not get too attached to anyone because you'll never know who's going to die next.
Enjoyment: 9
Just pure badass fun. Some dull moments. But way too much going on for me to care. Watch it. You will not be disappointed.

I really loved this show. After watching Code Geass and Death Note, I wanted to find an anime that had a similar feel and plot. I must say, I hit the jackpot.
Story: 8
Basically, Nine and Twelve are "terrorists" who don't kill people. Sure, they destroy buildings, but their intentions lie somewhere else. And that's what the detectives must find out! (Sound familiar? Yep, I thought Death Note too)
To be honest, I thought Zankyou no Terror would disappoint me when I saw the recommendation for Death Note. Thankfully, I was proven to be wrong. ZnT didn't have too much going on, but

the plot was just laid out very nicely, and I enjoyed watching it unfold. The mysteries all unraveled with each new episode.
Art: 10
The art was amazing. NO FANSERVICE!!! YAYYY!!! I like Death Note type art, and I think ZnT is very similar. I'm not really a detail person, so it was great for me. Loved the character designs. The settings and backgrounds were well done!
Sound: 10
Probably the best part of the show. The music was fantastic. I couldn't bring myself to fast forward the opening and ending in every episode. One of the best OSTs I've ever heard. Awesome, awesome!
Character:
I enjoyed Nine and Twelve. And, though many have been commenting on the lack of character development, I saw some subtle development in both. The other characters like Lisa and Five didn't draw me in as much. However, I must say that I believe Lisa was made static in order to develop another character, which actually turned out very well! I thought from the first two episodes that the story would give some more background on Lisa, but it didn't. Nonetheless, I ended up liking her. Though I'm thinking I liked her because of Twelve. Five was a bit of a nuisance, but she is somewhat an antagonist after all.
Enjoyment:
I greatly enjoyed this anime. I'm surprised it didn't gain as much popularity as it should have.
Amazing anime. Glad I watched it (and will definitely watch it again!)
