Natsume Yuujinchou was a big surprise to me, I didn't expect much, but I ended up surprising myself.

Story 10/10:

The story is relatively simple, Natsume Takashi wants to return the names of the Youkais that are in the book of Friends, a book that originally belonged to his grandmother. In the midst of this journey, Natsume meets several Youkais and always tries to help with his problems. And it is in this part that the anime stands out, in its excellent way of storytelling!

Art 8/10:

I particularly liked the art very much, even though it being in ... general simple and nothing extraordinary, I found no apparent defect.

Soundtrack 8/10:

At least for me, the soundtrack is one of the most important aspect in an anime. Natsume Yuujinchou has a captivating soundtrack, always well used in the right moments, leaving scenes that are already beautiful by itself, even better.

Characters 9/10:

Well, I really liked the characters, mostly from some Youkais and the stories they bring with you. Many of these stories involving loss and loneliness, showing that the Youkais are not so different from humans. Speaking of humans, I didn't really like the characters, except for Natsume, his foster family and his grandmother.

General 9/10:

Speaking generally, Natsume Yuujinchou is a very enjoyable anime with beautiful stories.

Natsume Yuujinchou foi uma grande surpresa para mim, não esperava muito, mas acabei me surpreendendo.

História 10/10:

A história é relativamente simples, Natsume Takashi quer devolver os nomes dos Youkais que estão no Livro dos amigos, um livro que originalmente era de sua avó. No meio dessa jornada, Natsume se encontra com vários Youkais e sempre tenta ajudalos com seus problemas. E é nessa parte que o anime se destaca, na sua maneira excelente de contar histórias!

Arte 8/10:

Eu particularmente gostei muito da arte, mesmo ela sendo em geral simples e nada extraordinária, não achei nenhum defeito aparente.

Trilha sonora 8/10:

Pelo menos para mim, a trilha sonora é um dos, senão o mais importante aspecto em um anime. Natsume Yuujinchou tem uma trilha sonora cativante, sempre bem usada nos momentos certos, deixando cenas que já são belas por si só, melhores ainda.

Personagens 9/10:

Bem, eu realmente gostei dos personagens, principalmente de alguns Youkais e as histórias que eles trazem consigo. Muitas dessas histórias envolvendo perda e solidão, mostrando que os Youkais não são tão diferentes dos humanos. Já falando dos humanos, eu não gostei muito dos personagens, exceto pelo Natsume, sua família adotiva e sua avó.

Geral 9/10:

Falando de maneira geral, Natsume Yuujinchou é um anime muito agradável e com belas histórias.

I recently decided to see 5 Centimeters Per Second and when I finished it, I wondered, "That's all!?". Seriously, I expected a lot more from this movie.

The first part is certainly very beautiful. Two people who share the same feeling, having to distance themselves from each other, communicating only by letters. A simple boy doing everything he can to meet the person he loves. And with all the unforeseen things that happen, they can find themselves, even for a short time.

My big problem is with the second part, was introduced a girl who loves ... the protagonist (yes, this seems well cliche) a character totally unnecessary and that does not add to anything the film. Meanwhile, Akari hardly appears in the 3 parts of the film. Basically the second part is composed of boring dialogues with a weak drama and the introduction of a character that does not add to anything.

Finally we reached the third part or the "conclusion" of 5 Centimeters Per Second. A few years have passed since Part 2, showing quickly how Akari and Takaki are following their lives. Yes, that's pretty much it.

The film has a beautiful art and a good soundtrack, but I don't think it saves you from your weak narrative.

Recentemente resolvi ver 5 Centimeters Per Second e ao terminá-lo, eu me perguntei, "é só isso!?". Sério, eu esperava muito mais desse filme.

A primeira parte é certamente muito bonita. Duas pessoas que compartilham do mesmo sentimento, tendo que se distanciar uma da outra, se comunicando apenas por cartas. Um simples garoto fazendo todo o possível para se encontrar com a pessoa que ele ama. E com todos os imprevistos que acontecem, eles conseguem se encontrar, mesmo que por pouco tempo.

O meu grande problema esta com a segunda parte, foi introduzido uma garota que ama o protagonista (sim, isso parece bem clichê) uma personagem totalmente desnecessária e que não agrega em nada o filme. Enquanto isso, a Akari quase não aparece nas 3 partes do filme. Basicamente a segunda parte é composta de diálogos chatos com uma drama fraco e a introdução de um personagem que não agrega em nada.

Finalmente chegamos na terceira parte ou a "conclusão" de 5 Centimeters Per Second. Alguns anos se passaram desde a parte 2, mostrando rapidamente como Akari e Takaki estão seguindo suas vidas. Sim, é basicamente isso.

O filme tem uma arte bonita e uma boa trilha sonora, mas não acho que isso o salve de sua narrativa fraca.

Sangatsu no Lion is not just an anime about Shogi. It's a beautiful story about overcoming!

Story 10/10:

The story of the anime is based on the battle of Rei Kiriyama, a 17 year old boy and professional player of Shogi, who suffers with a deep loneliness, and sadness. But this gradually changes, when he meets the Kawamoto family, especially the 3 sisters, Hinata, Akari, and Momo.

Art 10/10:

... I particularly love the Shaft studio style of doing anime.
Besides the beautiful scenery and the good use of the color palette to represent each environment, and moment, the characters' feelings are portrayed in a unique way. This is what I expect from an anime, he can convey that feeling to whoever watches it, and Sangatsu no Lion does it with mastery.

Soundtrack 10/10:

The soundtrack, even if subtly, was always in harmony with that moment, be it sad or happy, bringing an immersion with the anime much larger.
But it's not only that, even the openings and endings can stand out, with a beautiful lyrics, which portrays the anime very well.

Characters 10/10:

The characters are captivating, most of them being well developed, and having a good personality.
They are normal people with normal problems, and trying to move on even with their of the past wounds.


General 10/10:

Sangatsu no Lion is a unique anime, a rare jewel among so many others.
The anime may not have the recognition it deserves, but it's worth seeing!

Sangatsu no Lion não é apenas um anime sobre Shogi. É uma bela história sobre superação!

História 10/10:

A história do anime é baseada na batalha de Rei Kiriyama, um garoto de 17 anos e jogador profissional de Shogi, que sofre com uma profunda solidão e tristeza. Mas isso vai mudando gradativamente, quando ele conhece a família Kawamoto, especialmente as 3 irmãs, Hinata, Akari e Momo.

Arte 10/10:

Eu particularmente amo o estilo do estúdio Shaft de fazer animes.
Alem do belo cenário e o bom uso da paleta de cores para representar cada ambiente/momento, os sentimentos dos personagens é retratado de maneira única. É isso que eu espero de um anime, ele conseguir transmitir aquele sentimento para quem o assiste e Sangatsu no Lion faz isso com maestria.

Trilha sonora 10/10:

A trilha sonora mesmo que de maneira sutil, sempre ficava em harmonia com aquele momento, seja ele triste ou feliz, trazendo uma imersão com a obra muito maior.
Mas não é só isso, até as openings e endings conseguem se destacar, com uma bela letra, que retrata muito bem o anime.

Personagens 10/10:

Os personagens são cativantes, a maioria deles sendo bem desenvolvidos e tendo uma boa personalidade.
São pessoas normais, com problemas normais e tentando seguir em frente mesmo com suas feridas do passado.


Geral 10/10:

Sangatsu no Lion é um anime único, uma jóia rara em meio a tantas outras.
O anime pode não ter o reconhecimento que merece, mas vale a pena ser visto!
