Sorry to rain on the "demon slayer is so good" parade. I wanted to believe in it. Heck, I watched it only because its rated so highly. But I'm sad to say I'm disappointed. All I got to say is, good art/animation, bad story/characters. Overrated show.

I stand by the belief that a good shounen should be developed over time. I'm not saying it has to be long necessarily- but I'll just say this: the "shounen" part of this show lasted two episodes and consisted of cutscenes of our MC running up a hill and dodging traps. Is that what you really call entertainment? Look read more

First of all, the dude with the orange hair? Yeah that's actually a girl, her name is Emma. Took me a while to realize that lol

The Promised Neverland is in my opinion, how every mystery-horror anime should be done. You know a show is doing it right when you're afraid of the jumpscares, and are constantly lowering the volume to avoid them. The show does a magnificent job of progressing from what seems to be a carefree shounen to a dark, psychological and morally intensive horror.

Story: I give the story a 10 because simply put, you never knew what was gonna happen. Lots of horror read more

(Slight Spoilers)

Yet another show that I put off watching for a long time solely because of ratings. Well let me just say I regret not watching it sooner, and so if you're being put off I would recommend you give it a shot, especially if you're a fan of romance anime. I was surprised by the show, and would list it as one of the top romance I've seen.

Chu-2-Byo is, let's just say, a ride. With regards to plot, I would say it's like Toradora, but with a less abusive tsundere as the main girl and more or less the same kindhearted, normal kid as read more

Like many other reviews say, what could be the fun in watching a bunch of anime characters punch each other for 75 episodes? In this review I'll touch on a few pros and cons in a completely unbiased manner.

Even though I didn't like boxing before watching this show and still hold that opinion to some degree, I have to admit there are some special things going on in Hajime no Ippo. The characterization in this show is some of the best characterization I've seen out of a shounen. You might read the description of the plot and think "heh, typical storyline. Kid gets bullied, read more

JoJo for me was pretty good. I think it is important to mention that I found the second part a lot better than the first. If I were to rate the second part of the anime (episode 9-26 i believe?) I would give it a 9, but since the first part is included (which I would rate around a 7 or maybe 6) it averages to around the score I've given overall, 8. Its just that the first part of the story was really boring for me, and it almost made me quit watching the show, if not for the many reviews saying it is read more

First off, this review has spoilers.

HxH was the second shounen I've ever seen. I initially watched it because I got so many recommendations saying this was the "model shounen" and that it was really good, albeit long.

After taking about a month to finish this show, I can confirm the statements that it is a very good show. You've probably read many reviews going over its, pros, so in this review I'll try to highlight some cons I felt as well.

I'm going to be completely honest and say that the statement: "HxH gets better as it goes" is crap. Also, I really believe the chimera ant read more

Once again, I have been jebaited by high MAL ratings and hype on reddit. This anime in my opinion, is way overrated. It never really lived up to the expectations that I had for it, and looking back, I don't think I would've missed much had I just dropped it from the first episode. Which I shoulda done to be honest. But since I've finished it, I might as well give a fair warning for those who decide to spend their time watching this piece of work....

The two major problems I had for this series was its story and its character development. The sad excuse read more

All I have to say is, don't be fooled by the cover art and description of this anime... I would rank this as one of the most serious/deep psychological anime I've ever seen. If you are looking for something that is more than meets the eye, this anime is perfect for you.

Story: 10/10

The story was insane. It blows my mind how they were able to fit all that into just twelve episodes of anime. I must reiterate, the episodes are NOT LIGHT. If you are looking to laugh or enjoy some banter between characters, THIS ANIME IS NOT THAT. I found myself pausing read more

I honestly have no clue why the rating for this anime is so low. Guess ratings really don't matter, I've seen an anime rated around 8.7 and I enjoyed Gabriel Dropout way more than said anime. I spent a lot of time deciding whether or not I would even watch this anime, and I'm glad I eventually decided to. One factor as to why I eventually watched was because I wanted to understand memes with Satania in it- later on that in the Character section of my review...

Story: 8/10

This I would give an 8, simply because in a lot of these 12-episode series there isn't read more

I can't really seem to fit this anime into any specific genre, or call to mind any similar anime. Which was definitely not a problem for my overall enjoyment of Noragami, I'm happy to say!

Personally, I thought the characters were great. Yato is portrayed as childish adult who tries to pretend he is an almighty god, but is really hopeless when left alone to his own weird quirks and decision making skills.

This makes the introduction of Yukine and Hiyori that much more enjoyable because they keep a leash on his habits, which provide humor at times but are also a great source of guidance for read more
