Yeah I love them together with all their hardships and not so smooth sailing too, and the relationship only gets both more and more intriguing and twisting and more wholesome the longer it goes.
Haven’t seen or read banana fish yet but it is on my planned list, don’t know when I’ll get to it though because right now I’m trying to first go with ones I’ve already started, so next is gonna be Index and Railgun.
Same with Monogatari but I have all the volumes for the three seasons too so that’s gonna be a definitive read too. And I can’t wait because it’s already one of the few that get a full 10/10 from me in anime format.
I think with a novel as well written as this, there’s not gonna be much of a problem with the action being translaated into book format because those usually tend to describe the details so vividly that your mind is just making the pictures completely on its own. I just recently had that phenomenon with 86 volume 8 and the main fight in that.
But it kinda gets HARD carried by the first and the final arc combined with Kazuki and Maria's relationship throughout the story. Although there's still a fun rivalry between Kazuki and Daiya in the other volumes, and they're actually really interesting too, there's still some glaring flaws that I can't ignore, both in how the story is presented and in how the characters act, especially in volume 2...
If you got any thoughts or questions on it you wanna discuss, let me know ^^
After that, at some point I'll read it, and I know I'll love it, but from what I've seen of it already it's very hard to make out what's happening in the panels so I'm kind of looking for a colored version at first. Though, to prepare, I've already read some of Ichikawa's other works some time ago ^^
Also, I'm kind of more in a light novel mode rather than manga or anime. I hardly manage to keep up with my seasonals and I'm only watching 4 or 5 shows xD
SPOILERS FOR UMINEKO
For Pandora Hearts: That is indeed very hard to find, physcial copies is basically a no go if you aren't in Japan or understand japanese. I bought the e-book version on Amazon when I read it. A lot of scans online have a very bad translation that sometimes even changes the names somewhat and stuff like that, BUT I relatively recently found out that manga4life has all the chapters, including extra chapters, with proper translations, so I'd recommend reading there ^^
Regarding Tsubasa: I kind of get that but the ride is 100% worth it. Nothing of what I could say now would do it more justice than the review I made on here, so if you go through my profile, you'll just find it really quickly. I worked HARD on that one, and spend a long time writing it all so it could be perfect. And there's no spoilers in there, so if you are looking for words of encouragement for that, you'll definitely get them there xD
P.S. I loved the Race arc, it was so much fun for me ^^
