Egon: Vigo the Carpathian. Born 1505, died 1610.
Peter Venkman: 105 years old, he hung in there, didn't he?
Ray: He didn't die of old age, either. He was poisoned, stabbed, shot, hung, stretched, disembowled, drawn and quartered.
Peter Venkman: Ouch.
Winston: Guess he wasn't too popular at the end, huh?
Egon: No, not exactly a man of the people. Also known as Vigo the Cruel, Vigo the Torturer, Vigo the Despised, and Vigo the Unholy.
Peter Venkman: Wasn't he also Vigo the Butch?
Ray: And dig this, there was a prophecy. Just before his head died, his last words were "Death is but a door. Time is but a window. I'll be back."
Gozer the Traveller; he will come in one of the pre-chosen forms.
During the rectification of the Vuldronaii, the Traveller came as a large and moving Torb. Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex Supplicants, they chose a new form for him -- that of a Giant Sloar! Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Sloar that day i can tell you.
Yeah, I thought it was infinitely better than the original series. I never knew how off-course the original was, and now that I know, I'm glad they did a remake.
Lol . . . I think the focus was on Victoria in the first series. Her struggle to accept what she had become seemed to be the primary plot, with Alucard being a secondary character. Frankly, it just didn't work too well. She came off as winey and unlikable, and Alucard, while still being a badass, didn't really develop much.
In the new series, though, it seems like Alucard is far more of a central character. He has motivation (in the form of Victoria), and hopefully he'll develop a bit more roundness.
Also, I enjoy the art style more.
. . . especially in terms of Victoria . . .
I like it. It's a little confusing in parts, though. Because they mix certain parts of the story, it can be hard to keep track of what goes with what. I think I'll probably have to re-watch the series, once I've completed it one time through.
Also, I think I would have liked some story lines that went away from the shrine God thing. It gets repetitive in places due to the fact that everything is linked to the shrine God.
I think it's cool how they go crazy and kill each other, though. I like the eye animation during those parts.
Overall, it's one of the best I've seen imo.
