Best anime movie I've watched this year (2023). I watched it at the Indonesia Japanese Film Festival 2023 (JFF) and it's certainly my favorite movie at the festival.

I have so much thought but I can't say it properly for the movie. This movie has been a rollercoaster of emotions.

This is one of the most memorable anime movies for me, thanks to the loneliness, hopelessness, bullying, escapism, and anti-social issues that they bring. As for the plot and conclusion, the storytelling is done beautifully and the conclusion, as well as the settlement for each question that arises from the plot, has been answered and portrayed clearly, ... resulting in such a satisfying ending.

The art style is neat and decent, although not memorable. The OST fits perfectly with the movies and the color grading is properly used throughout the movie, fitting every scene that each character participates in.

Each of the characters has a relatable story that will make us sympathize with them, their struggles and their escapism from the cruel reality that they have suffered have brought so many emotions to everyone in the theater. The beginning feels like a wholesome fantasy anime movie that we are usually familiar with Miyazaki, but this is a bit heavy with all the sensitive and relatable daily life issues.

Man, I cry a bit during each of the characters' struggles. They have suffered a lot. Since this is much identical to the real world we currently live in, I can feel the emotions running through my body.

As a non-Japanese, I am always a bit skeptical about how to understand and enjoy a series that revolve around its culture, the rakugo show for example. I only watch joshiraku and ended up confused and didn't get all the jokes that perhaps only made for Japanese.

Until i found out this series.

Akane banashi is one of the best new series in WSJ and certainly one of the most enjoyable. Akane, the main character, is cute and her determination to display the best rakugo performance is very interesting to read. As an ex art performer, i do relate to all her nervousness before coming to stage ... and the struggle on being doubted by lot of people and all her efforts for the purpose of displaying just the best art for the audience. The series is perfectly paced and each week is something new and something exciting - and the build up towards the climax of her performance is just too good

Its one of the most enjoyable series in the middle all of the fighting and battle shounen, it also give us a chance to dive deeper into the performance art in Japan.

P.s: go read it for Akane, you will not regret it. I love her character and appearance so much!

I enjoy this movie a lot. It has a nice story and good plot, I love the involvement of Russian which is a good addition to the ordinary English words used in anime movies. The animation is definitely not the best and some of the dialogue is a bit cheesy as always, but I enjoy this movie a lot compare to the 24th movie which is quite a letdown.

The jokes are properly put within the movie, the opening songs are always great, the story pace are well put, and the climax is pretty fantastic. I love all the police involvement, detective boys, and all the ... plamya victims gathering around to save the city. The movie is action-packed and has the solid story from the beginning to the end, it was pretty neat and well written. The villain is also a great addition!

This movie such a good redemption towards a more ordinary previous movies and i hope they will continue to maintain this quality even more in the next movie!

P.s: do watch it in cinemas if its available in your nearest cinemas!

The anime is super cute, light, and unique. I have never seen a couple where both are kuudere that is pretty shy in expressing their feelings and two of them are soft-spoken characters, i love the relationship between aharen san dan raidou kun. Some of the people i know personally didn't enjoy this anime due to the uniqueness of kuudere falling in love, but i love it anyway; it gives different takes on typical anime couples portrayed in this medium.

Concerning the story, the story itself is your typical slice of life - school anime life filled with school plot, there are many funny moments and ... wholesome one. The side characters is quite a lot and each of the side characters is funny. The art is enjoyable and the pacing is just nice enough to get to know all the characters. The opening song and ending song is good too, especially the ending which i considered as the best ending song for this season.

After this anime end, if you are curious about how the relationship between aharen dan raidou will turns out, please read the manga. It's getting funnier and cuter in every chapter!

People will have mixed feelings about this anime but one thing is for sure - it's one of the series that influence a lot of people and for some people, it is their first anime that they watch. I remember all the Mirai Nikki hype back in the day and everyone was raving about Yuno Gasai, the most iconic yandere we ever witness. For me, back in 2012/2013, it was one of my favorite anime other than HxH and Death Note. However, in 2022, it just looks too mediocre to be everyone's favorite anime..

To be completely honest, the story is kinda bad, especially the way ... how they finish the story both in anime and manga. The MC is lame as expected but somehow it's addicting since the first episode and will make you binge the entire series in a short amount of time. The slow burn and all the mystery with the bizarre plot of determining who will be the next god is intriguing enough for my 14 years old back in the day.

The opening music is super good, and the art of the anime is pretty neat for the period it was released. However, the characters are awful sometimes and do not really contribute to the development of the plot. Have you ever heard of addicting garbage? this one surely is. They manage to build the tension but fail big in the final sequences and give a bad conclusion. Mediocre in execution and poor conclusion really make this series fall apart.

Reviewing this series gives so much nostalgia and i think, despite all of its minus points, it still is one of the most influential mystery/thriller anime of all time and the plot is unique considering the day it was released (still, it was way better than Platinum End - which has similar plot but falls even lower). Personally, i would suggest every anime fan (especially those who new to this sub culture world) to watch this because it is one of the most memorable anime for many anime fans.

This series is so cute, wholesome, funny, and comforting. I just wondering how they axe this series suddenly and the ending was not as we expect this to be since its a bit forced and fast

In regards to the entire series, the dynamic and funny relationship between a tsundere teacher and her students who are free-spirited is always so interesting to read. I had a lot of fun watching these 2 grow their relationship together and figure out everything they need to finally settle down ... the relationship and embrace each other. I also like all the romantic scene and the love they show to each other.

The art is enjoyable even if its not the greatest aspect of this series. The pace is just perfect and I really enjoy this kind of slice-of-life wholesome romance thing as it will make you happy throughout all the wholesome moment

Thank you for a rather short journey - it's been awesome. It's a shame that it ended suddenly without any prior notification and the conclusion seems a bit meh, however still. Great works!

For anyone reading this and expect a linear, neat, and beautiful story - please don't

Shounen no abyss is true to its name - the abyss; the bottomless point of a person can experience and a deep character journey; a depression of all people, the abyss of the character, the chaotic and sad sequence throughout the arc, and the heartbreak and the falling dreams along the way. Please don't read this if your condition is not stable since it involves a pretty sensitive topic and some of the suicidal thoughts of the character may relate to some of the people.

Shounen no abyss is a masterpiece on ... its own level, its complex drama, and conflict throughout the series lead to no conclusion at all - and that's why we love it. It seems like there is no end to this conflict. It will take you to places; it will create an atmosphere that very little manga can imitate; it will take you towards an emotional journey of each of the characters.

Shounen no abyss is a deep manga and very sensitive - so, please be stable and calm your nerves before you embark on a journey to nowhere

A new death note caliber manga? I don't think so. Despite it only has 2 chapters up until now and has similar idea of a story with the magical thing that the protagonist owned, I don't think it will be at the same level as Death Note as some people would like to believe.

The story is pretty interesting though with all the superpowered smartphones that can do things, I like to see where it is going. The art is enjoyable and the pace is pretty nice. Its only began its serialization in Jump so you better check it out right now to follow this ... manga.

P.s: the manga title is kinda lame but acceptable

It's excellent how reiji sensei can write and draw this manga for a very long time. Despite all of its flaws, trash plot, and cringe character, we have to appreciate the effort and sweat the author put in this manga.

Its never be a perfect manga, the MC are pathetic and a coward. All the character besides chizuru (which is the reason why i keep following this manga up until now), is total non-sense, bland, and pretty cringe throughout the manga. The male characters is the same, no character able to lift the manga into a certain interesting point

How can it be 230++ chapters long with ... no big development and is full of cringe funny moment? i really don't understand the necessity to make it that long of a manga. Should've ended it at the end of a movie-making arc. The main heroine is beautiful and mature but her development is pretty stagnant and poorly written, sadly to say

But, as i said before, as long as there is Chizuru Mizuhara, I will still be reading it. Its not really worth to watch if you start from the beginning but if you has been following this manga to this point, lets just enjoy all this pathetic drama till the end

The anime opening of this series really got me hooked up and here i'm now, catching up after the anime adaptation has finished. To put in simple words: its trash but addicting, as you may expect

This is an example of something that you can't put down even if you think that the plot is trash and full of fan service here and there. Just like the anime adaptation, domestic kanojo manga is just full of weird drama thrown around and the plot is somewhat terrible, but you can't stop reading it and finally, I've managed to finish the entire story.

Domestic kanojo is like a rollercoaster, ... it has its up and down with all the drama and complicated relationships. So many weird plots with sudden drug dealer arc, heartbroken arc, and all others weirdly placed story. The ending seems a little weird but the entire story is really fun to read and you can't expect what will happen next.

Looking at the art drawn by the kei sasuga is like a joy to the eyes because the art is neat and good. No complaint at all and it is one of the factors that got me going through all the unnecessary characters, overdramatic conflict, and absurd transition from one arc to another. On the positive side, i love the variety of twist that happens within the story and all the ecchi stuff, sure is a great one. All the women characters were drawn beautifully but they do the weirdest stuff around.

If its not for the ending, it would be higher. The ending was absurd and seems a bit forced. However, it has been a pleasant experience all the journey of the story, and it is addicting to read. I suggest reading this but don't expect a bit much. Just enjoy all the weird plot and funny sequence around and neat artstyle.
