So if someone asks a question it is rude to not answer in every circumstance?

What if Mary was too exhausted to answer or withheld information because it wasn't important?

If you think banter is mean you've probably got a very sensitive personality. That's not something that will be changed in a conversation or overnight.

How is teasing mean? That's like saying banter is mean. Banter is a great way to interact with people.

If you said that in your review, why are you now being dishonest about what happened? Mary is not rude to Peter at all in the entire second half, and even if she were that would not be a problem with the movie.

You're saying Mary was mean to Peter. Teasing is not mean. She acted annoyed when he poked fun at her hair.

Mary and Peter clearly became closer over the movie. This is actually one of the problems with the movie; that their relationship skipped a couple steps and they became close far too quickly. You can't say that Mary didn't change because she definitely changed towards Peter, even with your standards. You're being dishonest about the movie to try and prove a point.

But 12 year olds do behave like that. You can’t deny that it happens.
You’re projecting that 12 year olds shouldn’t behave in a certain way because it’s not proper. But there’s nothing improper about it. Anna from When Marnie Was There acted similarly, though was introverted instead of extroverted. Nothing improper about her.

If you think teasing and banter is not natural or healthy you are misguided. It's good for your mind. You're clearly projecting here based on your experiences.

Mary never hated Peter. She was acting up because she's 12. 12 year olds do that. If you think she hated him you are misguided.

Mary's family isn't going to kill her? Of course not, but she didn't think they would believe her and that would be and embarrassing situation for Mary to be in.

You've got problems with the wrong parts of the movie.

See, you’re projecting. Teasing is healthy and natural. Siblings and friends do it all the time. Since you didn’t have friends at a younger age you would have missed out on that experience.

Mary and Peter were never enemies. They teased each other and it wasn’t malicious. Mary over-exaggerated that she wouldn’t forgive him for teasing, but, like many 12 year olds, she wasn’t being serious and just acting up.

Mary didn’t tell her family she went on an adventure to a magical college because she thought they wouldn’t believe her. That’s rational and not a point of criticism.

Dude, you didn't pay attention to when Zebedee said that cats don't really belong to anyone.

Mary was at her grandmother's house while her parents were working.

12 year olds can banter. Teasing is not being disrespectful, it is being playful. You should remember being 12 and teasing your friends, or getting teased. She never lied to Peter.

Dude, come on. I'm not a big fan of Mary and the Witches Flower but your review is total garbage. All of your problems are nitpicks, projections and non-issues. Why don't you find out real criticisms?

Okay. I can explain. Rei was tired of listening to Gendo and merged with Lilith to demonstrate this. Causing the Third Impact, which thus destroyed the world, but eventually people did reconstruct. The only two that were left were Shinji and Asuka. I'm pretty sure Shinji still had lingering frustration with her, so he tried to strangle her. Asuka said "disgusting" because she was disgusted by the fact that Shinji tried killing her. The part with the real world sequence is supposed to be a world where Shinji doesn't exist. And Shinji is completely traumatized by having to kill Kaworu, so why would he want to pilot the thing that killed the only person who remotely gave two shits about him?

See was it THAT fucking hard? It's not that freaking complicated.

I know this comment is old, but you need to stop getting angry when somebody misunderstands something. Evangelion is not a simple anime, it's psychological and it's very complex. This fandom has got way too much condescending, mean people defending it without you joining in.

Also, you seem to have seen Evangelion, why isn't it in your list?

Because I use Kitsu and the anime is on my Kitsu list and not here. Also, I don't even know you, so please don't call me mean and condescending when you don't even know who I am, haven't even talked to me, ever. I'm not even in the Evangelion fandom, and that comment is two years old. Please don't do this again, you offended me.

Yep, that sums up why I like him so much as well. First time I watched Chobits, it didn't really hit me, but after I read the manga and his profound words at the end about why he loved Chi hit me; mannnn a character has never hopped on my favorites list sooner.

Wow I didn't think anybody else liked Hideki Motosuwa. Cheers!

Yeah back then he pretty much had depression, which resulted in creating Evangelion, the anime you cherish so much lol
Sairyuu69 Jun 22, 2017 9:18 AM
Watch it till the end, I'm laughing so hard lol
