I just looked it up. Pretty hilarious. Apparently it was founded by 2 members of Israel's rightwing Likud Party and functions as a propaganda arm of that political party. Sadly, sometimes I wish their propaganda was less clumsy and more effective. The Likud in the last 20 years have actually reached a pragmatic detente' with Russia the way the Orange Clown said he would on the campaign trail. Unfortunately, there are many guys entrenched in US intelligence, lobbies, and the State Department who simply see the Russians as blood enemies and won't approach the situation with any level of logic. They are demons and must be destroyed so America can wield supreme global hegemony. Unfortunately, the Likud are absolutely obsessed with getting America to attack Iran for them. I see this as wildly unecessary since I don't believe Iran will try shit as long as Israel maintains its strong nuclear triad and deterrence factor. Oh well, enough geopolitics. This is a board to talk shit about anime!

Definitely interesting places. The architecture in all three of those cities particular is appealing to me.

I've heard of Abbas Kiraostami (apparently Close Up's really good) but this is the first time I've heard of the other two, but I'll definitely make a note to give their films a go. Most of the foreign films I've seen come from Japan, Korea and France tbh.

Lel. I still gotta check out American Psycho.

That's pretty fuckin' dope too. Is there anywhere specific you're planning on teaching?

I've been watching quite a number of foreign films prior to attending film school but yeah, we've been shown quite a few as a part of our lectures, specifically Eisenstein's Battleship Potempkin and and FW Murnau's Sunrise. I've also been introduced to quite a few local arthouse films I wouldn't have known about otherwise.

Nah fam. Yusuke and Keiko are just too perfect together. x3

This semester I've been doing writing, directing and producing. They're all stressful to at least some degree but are really fulfilling nonetheless. Next semester I'll be taking cinematography, image enhancement and editing, which I'll also be looking forward to.

My goal is to eventually become a writer and director but I'm planning on getting into the industry as either an editor or a cinematographer since they're in high demand over here.

I saw the dub. It was pretty damn good. Some of the side characters' voices were a tad iffy but for the most part the voice actors really had a grasp on the kinds of characters they were portraying. I particularly liked Justin Cook's turn as Yusuke.

It's been going rather well on my end. Been enjoying my first year of film school and, in spite of a few issues I have, am a great deal happier there than I was in high school.

Also been watching quite a lot of anime as of late. Recently finished Yu Yu Hakusho, which was bloody excellent and finally saw Diebuster, which wasn't as good as its predecessor Gunbuster but was a highly entertaining watch nonetheless.

How's it going? It's been too long my dude.

haha. That man is doing the Lord's work.

It's Ian and because I have an incredibly high viewership pain threshold. This one pushed me to my limits though. Like Makoto Shishio at the end of Rurouni Kenshin right before the stress of battle sets him on fire.

The review is up. You can find it under my reviews. It is called "Wordsworth"

I just watched and reviewed the single worst anime by Studio ARMS. I'm not sure if I should be proud of my resilience or ashamed that I wasted my time on one of the worst anime ever.

More of his glorious performance. What isn't to love about a whole group of 60+ year old British dudes getting drunk and creating the worst English language dub of all time. The Malaysian "speedy dub" is also horrible, but they have the excuse of not being native English speakers.

This man is the king of all dub actors! Bow down mortal!

Now that was a journey, I don't even remember what review I came from-- I read a few, all were nice to read.
Going off from that, and your profile picture is moT esiurC, you look like a respectable individual, and that's fantastic.
