Oh gosh~ Sorry for taking so long to reply, I'm super bad about replying to things :p

No problem! I can give more recommendations when you figure out your tastes a little more and I see which of those you like and which you don't, if you want them.

Good! Anime by Key are generally really good, but they take forever to be released XD

Haha, well, the good thing about this hobby is that you don't have to take it all in at once, hey? XD

wow, if you are already taking a liking to the show from episode 1, then you should have absolutely no problems later on. That's cool, animation doesn't bother you then. I my self actually watch some anime from as early as the 70's even though the style is different, there is something bout 70's anime that feels more original then the current style, where the females look overly sexy or to feminine with large breasts lol. The echhi scene is ok every once in a while if its a series that is based around ecchi but when they try to take an action show and mix it with echhi it just doesn't fit well. Thats something that didn't really start becoming mainstream until the late 90's though.

Some people actually take a liking to it right from the start of the show, but those are the people that don't care bout animation styles and focus more on the development of the plot and characters. Then once you get to 20+ its like an addictive wild ride.

Yeah people that drop it usually drop it right away cause they can't stand the weirdness of the characters and the different animation style. But i plead you to continue up to around episode 20+ is when it really starts kicking into over gear. You will get accustomed to the animation over time anyways.

Keep in mind one piece is the largest shonen series to date with a staggering amount of 460+ episodes so far. So you may want to watch other shows with it so your not just watching IT alone lol. To keep me really interested i always have to mix things up a bit. I can't stand watching that much "shonen" in one sitting, it would bore me. Although One piece is really addictive though. Also it started in the year 1995 and is still on going so as you get further along in the series, you will notice a huge significant chance in the character art and animation style. If you looked at like episode 1 compared to the current one, it would just blow your mind lol. So the animation does get alot better over time. But i say just stick with it, don't focus on the weird wacky characters, but more about the deep complex character driven arcs ok and im sure you will fall in love with that show.

The comedy is also unrivaled, there are so many hilarious moments in it. What i love bout it, is the series can change the mood drastically with out looking fake or trying to over do it. It can be funny when it needs to be, but then it can be VERY serous and dramatic as well. It's great, you'll see. The first character driven arc, starts at around episode 12.

Alot of people drop the show before getting there, but from my experiences people that actually get past that arc and into the 20+ range. Have a complete change of heart on the show lol.

Here is my review page if you want to check out some of the reviews.

I am not the greatest writer in the world as i just now recently started writing reviews. There are a few that i wrote a long time ago, there at the bottom of the page. I am starting to get better though little by little. The one i put the most effort into was obviously one piece and then also Eureka seven i really liked.

Have you ever seen any of the "studio Gibli films" they are pretty popular among the US and are affiliated with Disney so you probably have seen at least one of the movies in your life time. But if you like anime that has a very sense of "originality" to it and not alot of slap stick comedy or the over top unrealistic characters then no one does it better then Hao Myisaki. His films are just AMAZING!!

One recommendation i would give you right now, is "whisper of the heart" check out that film. Also download it in English. I mostly watch anime in jap subs but i have to say disney's Studio gibli films have the best eng voice acting ive ever seen.

Any way here is the movie.

Let me know what you think :p

Np. You may add me to if you like. It's great that as a starting anime fan your very open to different genre's and thats good.

There are all kinds of different series that are very enjoyable, one thing that most new comers realize well first starting to watch anime is the huge difference between that of Americanized cartoons. Anime is more for teens or young adults and some story telling has much more sophisticated plots. Which i really like. If your a reader that loves to read books you will appreciate that alot.

If your into detective or like physiological drama, then check out Death note as well. Just out of curiosity, what are your favorite type's of genre's. Since you haven't seen much anime im referring in general to just books or reading, what theme grabs you the most as being very enjoyable.

I my self since ive seen alot of anime and read alot of books, im pretty much open to anything accept childish shows like Yu-gi-oh or anything that involves some form of card system lol.

Welcome to the wonderful world of anime, hope you enjoy your stay here. Btw if your new to anime and you found brotherhood to your liking, i highly recommend you check out other shonen shows such as "one piece", or hitman reborn. Even naruto is pretty good.

You should read my reviews on my profile page. One of the greatest action shonen shows ive ever got the chance to experience was one piece and even though its hard as a first time viewer to get accustomed to the different animation style. I will tell you, it exceeds everything else that a masterpiece series should have. It has a mixture of every element you can think of, comedy, revenge, action, romance, emotional drama, etc.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
