Perhaps this is the worst anime adaptation I've ever seen.
Firstly, this is “anime for anime”, the story and motivation of the characters are not disclosed (most likely due to the 4 minutes timekeeping), there is no plot, and miserable attempts to convince us that there is a plot are merged into the toilet.
What kind of virus - "Pupa"? Where did he come from and why? Why did stupid slut Yume become human again?
Imari's motivation is fused, we never know why she was doing research, what happened to the monsters she carries inside herself, etc. Apparently, you will have to get acquainted with manga.
Yume is a
stupid fucking little girl who does something that screams "onii-chan, I love you, I killed so many people, but you are there and can protect me", which is actually illogical. This heroine notably infuriated me.
Her brother is a retard person whose motivation is also not disclosed.
It can take a very long time to list the shortcomings of this anime, but the problem is that Pupa is not a full-fledged anime, but rather an anime draft drawn by people in a state of drug or alcohol intoxication on toilet paper. The manga has a rating twice as high as the anime, hence Pupa - it would be a good anime if the artists and writers were fed.
