So here is the basis of why this anime is so enjoyable. It's hilarious!

This is not an anime about gay people, it's an anime about fans of manga, anime, etc with gay themes, also known as Yaoi or Shounan Ai. These people are called Fujoshi for girls and Fudanshi for boys. Now, Fudanshi does not mean that the boy is gay, as clarified in the first episode. It just means that they enjoy Yaoi. This anime is one big parody of the stereotypical Fujoshi and Fudanshi. It's not meant to make any sort of big statement on the gay community. In fact, it makes the ... effort to point out that they are talking about the fantasy of yaoi, not the reality.

SO STOP GETTING SO BUTT HURT OVER IT! *pun intended ;p

As a Fujoshi who is familiar with this niche culture, the comedy hits gold. The characters represent their stereotypes well and I can't help but relate to the lead female (in both good and bad ways). Art's good enough for the type of show it is and the theme song is catchy. The characters and comedy are what sell the show.

I'd recommend this anime to Fujoshi and Fudanshi or anyone who loves watching comedy that pokes fun at stereotypes. If your looking for some big dramatic story about being in the LGBT etc. community, look elsewhere. Hourou Musuko would be a good place to start.

Seriously though, I'm pretty disappointed at the amount of people who overreacted to a simple 4-koma 3 minute anime. It clearly said it was a comedy about a Fudanshi, not a drama about a gay guy. It's not the anime's fault you couldn't tell the difference.

seriously people. what the hell is this. i watch five minutes of this and im already annoyed at the random and pointless shots of boobs and underwear. Is this really what you look for in an anime? I'm sorry, but that's just pathetic. to anyone looking for a whole lot of boob shots, this is the show for you. To anyone looking for a good story, go look somewhere else. try Soul Eater or Angel Beats or Blue ... Exorcist. They all have great story lines with little fan service.

Like many others, I find it hard to describe this show. It's neither happy nor sad, comedic nor serious. There is only one genre that fits this. Slice Of Life.

Story:10

It is about a group of guys who have known each other since elementary school who... don't do much. They eat lunch, do ordinary things that guys do (except maybe Shun), and reminisce about their childhood. there is a theme to each episode though that attracts the ear to listen to.


Art: 9

The art is a bit plain, but it fits the atmosphere. I especially like how the cats represent the characters. nothing too special, but its right for this show.


Sound: 9

I like all the voices. Shun's bugged me on the first episode, but i got used to it. there isn't much sound apart from that, which, again, fits the show.


Character: 10

Since the show is centered around the characters, they are naturally well developed. it's only the third episode and we already know so much about them.


Enjoyment: 10

It's... hard to explain why I enjoy it. it is funny and serious, happy and sad, and there is a bit of romance without over doing it.


Overall: 10

Great story line, Outstanding character development, well executed. just watch it and you'll see why.

Not your run of the mill Slice-of-Life. More realistic, yet interesting to watch.
