After completing this manga, I almost don't know what to say. There are not many stories with so much emotion and darkness thrown into it. The progression of Punpun comes on gradually but yet, almost feels like it hits you like a truck. Inio Asano gives a great deal of depth to the main character, something of which is not common to be seen. You get to see the lives of innocent children progressing onward to the often complicated and quite depressing trials of adulthood.

I will say all the negative things I can about it now, which isn't much. This manga is no walk ...

For those who think this is like Ore no Imouto one bit, you're pretty off.

I was skeptical of this series at first, but as it progressed, I found myself laughing more and more at the situations. It is quite perverted, but if you are put off by the "incest" factor, you really should not worry about it.

The characters start out seeming a bit cliche, but then show their true colors in a surprising fashion. You will find that a book should not be judged by its cover. The art may bug a little, because the characters look a bit sickly due to thin black ...

Kekkaishi (Anime) add
Preliminary (10/52 eps)
I could barely stand watching part of this series. It was if Inuyasha and Bleach had an ugly baby. The stream of events is so obvious and the cliche "I WILL PROTECT HER" line almost made me vomit, not to mention it was at the end of the first episode and there wasn't even time for decent character development between them. None of the characters are unique at all, except for the awesome fox demons that follow the main characters around. Go ahead and watch this series if you haven't seen any good shonen.

Mushishi (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (4/26 eps)
Unfortunately, I did not enjoy this series enough to keep watching, especially since I've seen enough anime where characters can "see things others can't." The main character was a bit interesting, but the flow of each episode was too slow, making me almost fall asleep until something suddenly happened at the end. I can see that this show isn't for everyone, but it can be watched casually by anyone since each episode is individual. But since I can't stand the lack of interesting characters or plot, I couldn't be bothered to keep watching.

When I first started watching IS, I was sure I was in for a mecha battle plus harem ensemble. Of course, that is what I got. IS took a different route into making the mecha series work. Instead of a giant robot, they made a suit. Instead of a war being waged around the world with robots, they are used for sport. To get to the point, IS took a typical mecha idea and made it more intricate, which led to a surprisingly entertaining anime. The best part of the series, just as in any harem anime, is choosing a favorite [country based] female character. ...

At first, I thought Star Driver was going to be another run-of-the-mill mecha series that's been overdone. Boy was I wrong. Star Driver had extremely well done art, music, and plot to go with the mecha action. It went above and beyond my expectations and is now one of my favourite anime of all time. Most of the characters were a bit bland, but a few of them were quite intriguing, and the character designs were fairly nice. Definitely something for shonen lovers to see, but also a great series for a casual viewer to watch.

Baccano! (Anime) add
Baccano is truly a masterpiece of its time, and hopefully will be remembered for generations to come. Baccano combines the interesting stories of multiple characters and flows them into one large story line that is truly amazing. Baccano is original in that it takes place in the roaring twenties and features more than one main or important character, allowing the viewer to really take in each character equally. The series is short and sweet, being 16 episodes, making it easier for casual viewers to take in a great experience. The action and drama, with a spice of twisted romance make it appealing to just about ...
