well, it's kind of hard to review this one. Before I start with the review, I got to tell you I'm actually a 24 YO junior office worker who watches about 2-5 episodes of anime per week. It was like 50 Eps each day during my high school time, but now 5 episodes per week are all I can afford. I'm saying this so you guys can get a picture of how I see this anime.

Well, my first impression of this anime was a trashy story, cringy characters, the MC is just an unloyal brat despite his justification. Was I wrong about ... that? NO, but DANG this anime is very very very entertaining.....

yes, as a man I hate the MC. he is unloyal, selfish, and an idiot.
yes, the girlfriend is kinda airheaded. why the hell does she accept his BF wants to have another GF.

I planned to drop this anime after the 7th episode or so. But after the season ended, I was surprised that this anime is the only anime I didn't drop. Why's that?

Well, saying this anime's story trash is just like saying Gintama's story plagiarism......

Yep, this anime is kinda stupid and i curse the characters a lot. But, I cursed the character while literally laughing MAO.

In the end, this anime is a pure entertainment comedy. Nothing is deep, or serious in this anime. we won't get a deeply psychological story like in the Monogatari series, a touching fantasy romance in the Your Name, or a mystery like in the "erased". Because this anime is not them and never intended to be like them. Just, a pure comedy.

TL:DR

This anime's story is a trashy one, but perfect as an escape from your everyday adult life.

Okay I have readup to chapter 29, and it has been great for me. If you like monster/alien vs human story like kaiju and Godzilla, this is for you.

art: 9/10
As a gun nerd, I can see clearly the guns used in the manga is based on real-world gun, and I like it (modified Glock and rifle inspired by Sig Sauer MCX Virtus). yes, they are modified but look really clean and the art always detailed.

Character: 10/10
The MC is really cool for me. Not Overpowered cool, but he started as a regular guy who fights for his friend while risking his life cool. The ... MC is also a middle-aged man not some teenager in his puberty, that's more realistic and most enjoyable for me (since I'm also not a teen anymore).

Story: 8/10
can't describe much without spoiler. but, it is good. basically, the earth is under attack, the MC was a regular guy and trying to join the defense force. before he joins, he was the "cleaning guy".

this manga is so great! but at the same time the manga is also miss-taged. the story is just not about fun and games, but it has a lot of mindblowing plot twist. i read this manga marathonly after it has finished. i have to say that the first 10 chapters is good, but it is not the "kicks" for me, the story after that is so "WOW WTF". a lot of things is going on, and my brain barely keep up.

i believe this manga could have sell more if the author put more tags about it, (SPOILER COMING)like: tragedy, sci ... fi, mystery, bittersweet love.......
