Hi, name's ObSASSion and I have to say that I change the ratings that I give of the animes that I watch at times. Even if it has been long since I watched it. The 'tags' in my list are just spaces for me to write comments on the anime or manga.
My Genre Preference:
My favorite genres are Romance, Comedy, Police, Detective, Crime and Action. Personally, I hate love triangles, squares, rectangles, hexagons or whatever other shape with more than 3 edges, harem and not knowing who the main character ends up with. So I end up missing out on supposedly popular animes like Nisekoi. The genres I avoid are as I mentioned, Harem, and others like Yuri, Yaoi and hentai. Another particular genre I avoid is tragedy. I really don't like sad endings and emotional roller coaster rides. And there are not many animes that I watch that have the genres- fantasy and ecchi.
MY DEFINITION OF "FAVORITE ANIME'': I want to watch it again. And again. Even if I know the number of flaws in it, I would still want to watch it again. There are some animes that I find so damn good but I don't feel like re-watching it. That won't be in my favs ppl.
About myA N I M Eratings :
1.Why I don't have many anime completed that are rated 6 or below:
I drop many animes even before
finishing them if I find them uninteresting.
I don't even start anime that I believe is not to my taste
and an anime that will waste my time. Therefore, I find
it hard to relate to people who watch the entire anime
despite disliking them, just to criticize it as a whole.
This causes me to have not too many completed animes that I rate below 6.
Simply because I don't bother wasting my time to pull myself through an anime I do not enjoy.
2. I do not usually rate an anime objectively.
Seriously, I watch anime for the fun of it
and to enjoy it and that is why many of the anime
I watch are mostly 8 or above.
The people who rate anime so thoroughly and skim
through it to find all the loopholes, are what I personally find, annoying.
BUT these are the people who write reviews that I find extremely useful
when it comes to picking out anime that I will potentially like.
This is also because I can put the animes that they rate above 8 into consideration.
If you're looking for an "professional" anime critic,
this isn't the place XP
About myM A N G Aratings :
Why are most of my mangas rated 7 and 8:
[spoiler]When I read manga, mostly shoujo, they aren't really long in terms of the chapters. Therefore, plenty of them are rushed oneshots. These usually result me in caring more about the art style and personalities of the characters. Obviously, the story has to be good or at least unique and not too stereotypical.
So with the story minusing a few points here and there, it becomes a rating of 7 or 8.
And plus, I usually rate according to how much I enjoy the manga so again, like how I usually rate anime, I do not rate it too objectively.
