Hi! Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou is one I'd recommend since you're an Aria fan. It's definitely different in tone from Aria, but it shares that similar indulgence in the slowly passing present. The art is beautiful and it's a very gentle read. I'd also suggest reading Aria too, if you haven't read it already, as reading in general tends to be a different sort of experience from watching.

Away from that, I'd definitely pitch Love So Life and Kakukaku Shikajika. I find that manga is more female-friendly than anime, as a lot of shoujo and josei never get adapted--and these two are definitely a nice change of pace. Love So Life has a lot of things I love about shoujo: there's a very rosy and sweet romance, while the story revolves around the careful babysitting of children. That soft mundane-ness is something I appreciate a lot and I love the family comfort that it gives off.

Kakukaku Shikajika is the autobiography of the Kuragehime mangaka (Kuragehime has an anime and is a really popular manga too). I've always liked reading about other people's lives and Akiko Higashimura is a great storyteller. It's candid and heartfelt, plus the idea of a manga autobiography is pretty cool.

I've fallen pretty far behind on my manga lately welp. I used to read a lot more, but ongoing stuff really piles up (especially those one chapter every few month ones)... What have you been reading? Are you watching anything interesting? :)
