Love the reviews you're posting on your blog and have been a reader for years! ☆ Particularly enjoyed your recent review of the Ancient Magus Bride. I haven't had a chance to watch the series yet, but how the relationship is handled has been bothering me in the manga too...

Since you have a soft spot for Natsume too, might I recommend March comes in like a Lion? It's another huge favourite of mine and much like Natsume deals with a protagonist struggling to find his place, difficult childhoods/resulting trauma, social awkwardness and introspection, and heartwarming scenes aplenty. (And you'll learn a thing or two about shogi if that's up your alley) I have only seen the first season, but I believe the second has already finished airing at this point

You really need to read Song of the Long March/Chang Ge Xing/Chouka Kou. (Bah too many different names haha)

The heroine is so right up your alley it's ridiculous. She and Yona are the only ones to come close to filling up the giant hole in me left by Youko and the Twelve Kingdoms. :P
