Hey ho.

So you're watching Gintama that's great.

Well let me give you an advice.
Just for the information.

The first Episodes and the following first Episodes can be quite average.
I know that it can be for many people. So maybe for you as well.

But it will improve a lot afterwards.
So I hope you will keep on watching Gintama

Such a shame. I agree though. OG Naruto 1-136 is definitely the best of what the franchise had to offer. Most of Shippuuden's best parts got watered down by the excessive padding and random cuts to filler in the middle of arcs.

Does Boruto ever get better? Feels like watching Naruto filler. On episode 6 and it's mostly just slice of life with a "person of the week possession" scenario repeat.

I think I am maybe too nostalgic.
I remember how much I loved discovering Fullmetal Alchemist, Samourai Champloo, Monster, Sakura Cardcaptor a long time ago ~_~.
At that time, I had seen them dubbed in French and I remember how surprised I was by the originality.
Now I feel like I'm tired of looking at the same thing over and over and being quickly disappointed.
There are still rare exceptions like Attack on Titans, but not enough to be entirely satisfied.

There are dozens of animes produced every year but only one or two seem to be interesting... and difficult to find.

The lack of a real scenario begins to be painful in the third season of Natsume Yuujinchou. It's always the same things, the same dialogues about loneliness and whining of Natsume. There is nothing worse than the slice of life genre.
