Bluelock takes everything good about sports anime, turns it inside out, grinds it up, and then tries to sell it as innovation. Or something like that. The only good thing about this series is that it highlights the biggest flaw with soccer: that there can be players that carry a team singlehandedly and can get away with it.
Characters: 2/10 All of them technically ripe for character growth, but the overarching environment ruins any sensible possibility of satisfying character growth.
Story: 1/10 It's totally contrived beyond recognition as a viable plot.
