Ohh, yes, a lot of time has passed, I hardly remember my comment. Unfortunately I don't know much about comics, so I can't quite follow "which" work it is.

CSM? Do you mean Chainsaw Man? At least that's what Google spit out for me.
I've also heard of Junji, which is supposed to be a real high-flyer in the horror field. Anyway, I can understand your thinking, a simple shounen to turn off the brain is always good.

Yeah most people like different stuff. For my part I think being neutral is still the best option. What kind of "Dark Fantasy" do you actually like if I can ask it?

After checking your Anime list, i think your main problem with AoT is the setting and main Topic. You seem to be more interested in Anime without real political points and with less dark Story. Like Naruto, One Piece.

AoT is more like of Dark Fantasy, where the character are actually written more realistic and not focused on being likeable.
