Many people have heard of Sturgeon's Law, that is, 95% of everything is crap. Many people also often use this adage in reference to anime. I don't believe it. To me, the vast majority of anime is good, with only a few exceptions. I'm not to saying that I love almost every anime, but that I think that almost every anime has something in it that can make that anime someone's favorite. Meanwhile, while their are genres of anime that I especially like, I try and not avoid most genres. (Though I am not a fan of "unhappy endings" and tend to avoid anime where a large number of the main characters die off.)
I actively seek out anime that are not all that well known in America, and then I get really lonely when I have nobody to talk to about the shows I like.
My manga list is not reflective of all the manga I own, because it seems that most of the manga I own are not on the list, and I haven't gotten around to adding them yet. I tend to read manga from the the following manga magazines: Shounen Sunday, Ribbon, Nakayoshi.
