Well, fuck. It seems that MAL got hacked again. In other news, I ran out of patience. Unfortunately, the other sites are lacking in usability. And I'm not kidding, just look at Hummingbird (and unfortunately, other sites are not that much better) - overuse of AJAX actually makes the site slower and less responsive, using non-standard fonts is a capital offense, the colors are burning out my retinas and the worst issue is that "progressive loading" is completely alien idea to this site - unless all the content has been downloaded, you can't do anything on the site. What does it mean? That the site is SLOOOOOOOOOOOOW. Unfortunately, this is only one issue. It seems that Hummingbird is trying to appeal to tablet lovers by making the interface completely horrible*, e.g. splash screen, yeah, welcome to 1997.

However, all of this is better than knowing your list and account can be pwned any time without you even knowing, so I'm making a risky decision to move to AniList.

* - if you want to argue that "it's the future", get out of my sight. First, you can actually make a site usable both for PC users, tablet users, smartphone users and dumbphone users without making interface horrible - see Stack Overflow http://stackoverflow.com . Second, try actually doing anything productive on your tablet instead of watching YouTube videos. Then do it on the actual PC and compare your experiences.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
