By the way, have you heard news about Sunrise acquiring Xebec? hopefully my favorite anime Zoids, Dai-Guard and Nadesico will be HD remastered. They're classics, from my time that is.

Hi Lucy! have you thought about watching Gokusen? it's a great josei manga with a female character and teacher that is about as old as you are. Some middle-aged lady told me that it's a great josei manga to start with. The artwork looks weird, but at least it's old-school.

Hey Lucy! so how was Christmas day? I'm so busy with work, outdoor activities, drawing and Suikoden 4, that I can't dedicate too much time with anime. Speaking of anime, I won't be doing the Anime Challenge thing next year since I don't have time for watching a plethora of random anime (I hate ONAs like Ai Tenchi or Wonder Momo).

Those bands were so huge back in the day. You've got good taste. The one I recommended is instrumental, something different to try (;

Hi artist, thanks for the add. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your drawings o/

Such a good taste for music too. What have you been listening to? Next time you draw you can listen to some Vinnie Moore, not exactly symphonic, that's actually neoclassical... you should give it a try (:

Yes, it can be hard to find either the Hyper Police manga or anime in Portuguese, even though the story is simple and exciting.

It's labeled as shounen, but it's not as monotonous as recent Shounen Jump novels. Btw, I watched it for the 2017 Anime Challenge thread after Youtube repeatedly recommending it to me.

Anyway! did you happen to find Hyper Police on Youtube's recommendation thing? it's old-school shounen, but a great series overall and in Hyper Police, you can relate to the little lady protagonist's struggles in life.

You haven't watched lot of anime considering your age, or you haven't update everything in your list like me.

Nice profile picture and review of city hunter, have you watched the live action movie?

Hello again Lucy! what do you think of steamed buns? I plan on steaming buns with pizza or cheeseburger ingredients.
Kurt_Irving Sep 6, 2018 9:32 PM
Hey Lucy! are there more goats than cattle in Brazil? if that's the case, then I think I'll herd or raise goats instead for meat, sounds more sustainable.

Oh yes! I like re-watching older anime too and re-watch all the 90s anime that I know from experience.

Plot is another issue with current anime as you said and for me, it's too childish, especially the jokes. That's why I prefer adult animation nowadays and I plan on seeing the new Lupin III anime some time, because it's beautiful for keeping the manga's artwork as its foundation and has never lost touch with the manga's lore. Anything with Lupin III on it is for grown-ups, obviously.

I'm neutral to josei, but I see potential in these Japanese older women's novels like showing girls starting adulthood see life or things from a more mature perspective, while your average battle shounen and romcom shounen is becoming more generic than your typical drug store, spreading plot-induced stupidity into people's minds like a disease.

So yeah! more adult anime would be better and we are getting too old for that same old shounen format or presentation.
