for recs, i'd say feng ling yu xiu (soulmate adventure). it's a historical donghua that follows two girls in the world of martial arts, a thief called feng ling and a mysterious martial artist called bai yuxiu. i'm still finishing the 2nd season, but it's really good, their dynamics is so cute and fun, and there are some really cool fight scenes!
now one of my favorite anime/manga is yuukoku no moriarty. this one isn't actually a bl, but there's strong subtext, especially in the manga (which i highly recommend!). all the characters are pretty much inspired on the ones from the sherlock holmes novels, so you might have heard about it! of course, apart from the queer subtext (just remembered there actually is a canon trans character btw), all the characters have complex personalities and motivations. i'm not sure how into suspense/mystery and morally grey stories you are, but you should definitely check it out!
i've read my darling is the cutest a while ago, and i found it really sweet and funny! i just wished they'd follow more of a plotline rather than a collection of slice of life stories. however, it's really cute and lighthearted, very relaxing!
i've been reading asumi-chan is interested in lesbian brothels too, and i'm enjoying it so far! as for the other two, i've thought about checking out the guy she was interested in wasnt a guy at all but never really read it, might give it a shot! and i guess i don't know the other one, so i might check it out as well!
about bl, i love tgcf! i'd already read the novel before the donghua came out, and it's my favorite one from the author. i found the donghua really really pretty, and i'm so excited for s2 next month! i'm also reading hirano to kagiura, though it's been a while i haven't checked for new chapters. recently i've watched sasaki to miyano movie and also hirano to kagiura short movie and i remembered just how sweet they are! i really love them, and hirano is probably my favorite! i haven't heard about the other two but maybe i'll give them a try too!
