Yeah, kinda fun but awkward too if you know what I mean..

Yeah about that, I kinda have not used mal in a while and am considering to tap out..

Things are going well, can't complain but at a delayed pace cause of the circumstances.

Likewise, do ping me if you have anything on mind, I pretty much have been working in summer so not much to add since the last chat.

No worries.
:D

Lol, that's interesting..

Ah, I think I might have missed adding a few shows here and there, like Yon which I had to watch when hanging out with a friend >.<

Oh cool, I do remember seeing bits of hinamatsuri anime but yeah I'll check this one out.. oh and the next one sounds like something similar is airing now (some otome flag anime?).. either way I'll explore this one too.

Cool, will do after end of this month, held up with some irl stuff, I'll have a look and suggest you as well. Thanks and cheers. Also, feel free to chat about anything you feel like ^.^

^Don't click until you've had a chance to savor the latest chapter. My comment can wait.

Oh my Goooooooood, Kazykoki! The latest chapter's out on mangadex and I guarantee it's going to make you melt! This is best case scenario, my dear. I'm overwhelmed.
Mimizuku May 9, 11:17 AM
My friend, Kazykoki ! (Finally connected again, cheers).
:P

Oh and also..
Any shows or manga you like a lot lately or during past few months?I'd love to pickup a suggestion if you'd be able to share?

Oh, it's definitely because he can't stand the likes of Morizumi. I just found it funny how he was all like "You already have Kotonami-san, ya dum dum!"

Ren was always a cheeky little rascal lol. He simply looked older and more mature in the earlier illustrations, and he appears more boyish and roguish now that Nakumura-sensei's art style evolved. It's almost like he aged in reverse haha.

The last time I binged all the chapters was around the end of the Cain Heel arc because I got frustrated at the pacing and thought we would never get back to Kyouko's acting. But going back and rereading from the start made me appreciate all the little details sprinkled throughout the story. It blew my mind that Nakamura-sensei mentioned Boost all the way back in the Princess Coup d'Etat arc. (Do you remember that shady dude from the magazine who was hanging around Kyouko in Chapter 14 when she was having her portrait taken? The translators incorrectly said that he was from a tabloid called "Boots" - and I tell you, Kazykoki, I have never facepalmed so hard in my entire life at a typo.)

And speaking of subtle foreshadowing, here's the latest piece of gossip on the internet:

Last but not least, I'm having mixed feelings about Kyouko deciding to finesse her way through the truth about Bo's identity. It was a perfect time to come clean since Ren was being so honest and open with her for once. I'm so, so, so proud of our homeboi. He's grown so much. I'm just praying she confesses when Ren finally reveals that he's actually her beloved fairy prince (TT^TT)

On a side note, can I just say how cute it is that Ren respects Kyouko's friendship with Moko-san so much that he refuses to let her befriend anyone he deems lesser than?

Hahaha, don't even worry about it. Life happens. The world seems to have turned upside down in these past two months. Thankfully, my entire family is at home now and work is still fairly operational even though every office and campus has shut down and locked up for the long haul. Praying that all remains safe and sound with you and your folks :)

Maaaaaaan. Don't even get me started on Skip Beat! I literally kept denying that it was happening until it actually happened. That little somersault landing was exactly how I was feeling, like "what?! it hit the target?! no misunderstandings - wait, is this even the same manga or some fan work I accidentally clicked?" I'm sure you can imagine precisely the amount of freaking out that occurred when my brain registered I was reading canon stuff.

I was devastated by Impatient Scans being dismantled. I had literally just joined their Discord group and was getting comfortable after silently stalking their Facebook page for ages. I think S2Scans also stopped posting anything for the past two years and they were the only ones who produced quality scantalations as far as I remember. This lone translator was a God-send, honestly. I think I would've also started crying if we'd been denied the goods after waiting for an entire freaking decade.

In any case, I won't spoil what's happening before you get a chance to catch up. Bon appetit, ma chere!

Yoooo, I hope you've recovered since it's been a whole month since we were last freaking out.

BUT JUST WAIT UNTIL YOU GET A LOAD OF THE LATEST EDITION: https://mangadex.org/title/422/skip-beat

Thankfully, someone picked up translating after Impatient Scans was dissolved. Let me tell you, I was not prepared for that crisis. Honestly, stepping away from the manga for a couple of months would've saved me from a lot of emotional trauma. I'm so stoked you got the opportunity to binge a few chapters in one go. There are very few things in the world that I find more exhilarating than a marathon lol ;)

Hey, thanks for the Wolf Children review. Not the best review I've read but just simple straightforward and happened to catch my eye.

I've been planning to watch it for a long while but I'll give it a go now.

Have a nice day!

Hey there, old friend. I don't know if you're still keeping up with it but Skip Beat might be having some - dare I say - progress. In fact, it's giving me whiplash. Also, happy new year!
Aeowina Jun 1, 2019 1:00 PM
Same. I've had to hold off on so many side projects or put them on the back burner until I got the chance to breathe. Thankfully, I feel like I finally have a moment of leisure to pick them up again.

As for chipping away at PTW, I've got a lot of catching up to do. I actually started reading manga because I could justify the time spent on watching anime. Now the young'ins tell me about the latest seasons releases and I'm like, yoooo. It's been awhile.

Next chapter should be out on the 20th. I'm seriously grateful for Impatient Scans for at least keeping me up-to-date on the core following (i.e. Skip Beat! and Akatuski no Yona). Kyouko and Ren's jealousy is pouring out full-force and I can't wait for the conflict. I keep my fingers crossed for a satisfying resolution but I've learned the Nakamura-sensei keeps the carrot hanging from the stick. So I'm just going to keep my expectations low for now. Can you believe that Boost magazine was mentioned in the first acting arc? The foreshadowing is incredible!

I know you've never gotten into the old Fruits Basket anime but you might want to at least give the new reboot a try. Nothing particularly novel, but it's charming and sweet nonetheless. I might be biased because it's giving me a heavy dose of nostalgia. Fruits Basket has such a large and devoted following that there's a lot of heated debate and comparison to the manga and the original anime in the episode discussions. You could probably ignore them and enjoy it just the same. It has a similar feel to Kamisama Hajimemashita.

I also have a hunch that you'd like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic. They're both shounen, so it's not quite what you asked for, but they're colorful enough to pique your interest and fleshed-out enough in order to keep you hooked for the ride.

If you're simply looking for a cavity-inducing classic, then I recommend UFO Baby (Daa! Daa! Daa!). It's an oldie, but a goodie. Certainly fits the bill for cute, clean and heartwarming.
