Yo. What music have I been listening to lately?

- Past few days, lots of Westlife songs. I have all their albums on my PC, so it's a wrap for me to hook up a playlist of 4-5hrs of exclusively their songs.
- Fabolous - When the Money Goes Ft. Jay-Z -
- J. Cole - Kenny Lofton Ft. Young Jeezy -
- Wale - I Wish I Missed My Ex (Remix) -
- Kendrick Lamar - Westside, Right on Time Ft. Young Jeezy -
- Kendrick Lamar - A.D.H.D -
- Kendrick Lamar - Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe (Remix) Ft. Jay-Z -
- Drake - Ignant Shit Ft. Lil Wayne -
- I've been bumping old J. Cole songs, almost everything from 2014 Forest Hills Drive backwards.

Lest I forget, a lady I've been close-marking and wooing lately recommended me some pop music (early yesterday morning) she listens to. Here's her recommends to me -
Eventually, she got pissed off because I wasn't feeling them much. I think letting her know my honest take on the songs wasn't wise of me. Bahh, that's a topic you wouldn't wanna listen to I bet. Anyway, yeah, those were them songs basically.

How about you? What you been bumping these days? I've been doing well man, Lots of rest and sleep since I'm done with my degree. Trying to learn some things I didn't learn before. Do some online courses, watch whatever I want, stay home mostly etc. I do have a seminar to go for later this morning though for fresh graduates at my university. It's already 3:29 am over here and I ain't caught a wink of sleep, I'm meant to be outta my house by 8 am, because the seminar starts by 9:30 am and finishes by 3:30 pm in the afternoon. How's life treating you?

Yo! I'm alright Kaiji. How are you?

Okay, let me put my head down to compose a reply. Huhn, I guess I'll let your view on Illmatic pass.

Moving on, Drogas Wave, I always just stream the album full on YouTube. High replay value I must say. I have gone to its Wikipedia page to see the song titles and album sequencing, but I don't keep it to mind because I simply listen to it all through on YouTube without caring for what's this track title or what. However, the memorable ones for me are the first song, since that's in Spanish. I also believe that's why he made it the first song. The other memorable track for me is Haile Selassie. Personally speaking, Haile Selassie could be interpreted as my favorite song (not necessarily is) since it's the one song from the album I've played an uncountable number of times. Its replay value is very high as a standalone track for me, but you can say that for the whole album.

Yeah, I thought you were talking about smoking when you mentioned smokepurpp. Smokepurpp is a rapper's name? Wow, that's really weird. Eh, I wouldn't know about that shit since I hate trash music like the Lil Pumps and the Trap genre. I've smoked weed a few times, however anything other than that, I'm not partaking in. It's impossible to consider myself someone who has smoked anything before even. Good resolve to have towards it though, we're similar in that regard. Trapstar is an artist as well? What the fuck is up with the weird artist names these days? Dafuq?

You don't think you're that young for windows 96? Were you born before the '90s? The reason I ask is that your statement implies that
1. you were born before 1996.
2. anyone born in the '90s would be too young for windows '96, you said you're not so you'd have to be born at least in the '80s for your statement to seem plausible.

I love all 4 of those favorites.

Haha a lot of peeps I've met have likened J Dilla and Nujabes together. They're equally great producers. I've paid more attention to Nujabes though. I have some J Dilla instrumentals saved up on my YouTube channel and PC as well. I plan to write freestyles on them. I got a friend whose massively into 9th Wonder though.

For sure, everyone has their opinion and that right should be respected. It's just unfortunate most people don't allow others to exercise that right to freedom of expression. Most people get butthurt over dislike or criticism over what they themselves like. Quite funny to me though. The same way you can like something, another is free to dislike it. Ah well, I'll move on now....

I wouldn't advise that Nasir album yet for you. I'd say bump God Son, Stillmatic and It Was Written first. Gauge your reaction to those albums and Nas in general, you already love Illmatic, now it's to see how much you'll vibe with him overall. When you feel that you like him enough and want more Nas, then that's when I'd advise you to dive into his other albums. Anyway, it's upto you if you wanna follow my advise after all.

Thanks for the well wishes man, I need all the moral support that I can get to make my lazy ass work! Learn all you can learn in school bruh, don't take this opportunity for granted. Don't limit yourself to the class room!!

Damn, PSP is still one of my favorite game consoles outside the PS2. You're a fan of Lupe Fiasco? I am as well. What a coincidence, I've been listening to Lupe Fiasco exclusively for the past few days. His latest album Drogas Wave!!! A masterpiece indeed! Outside of that, I'm not a fan of smoking, but I hang with smokers all the same. Pass me a blunt and I'll light up with ya. I don't know about trapstar, or whatever it means, but Win96? Boy, what you know about Win96?! Ain't you too young for that?

I don't bother for most anime OSTs unless I consider them really good. That's it for me. I have no interest in it generally. Then again, you hear funny shit from other users like the music even supplements their enjoyment of an anime, that's bullshit to me dawg. Anyway, for Cowboy Bebop, I wouldn't know about that. My reception of that anime isn't positive. Quite the overrated shit if you ask me, but I'll just keep that to myself.

You should listen to Nujabes if you're into lofi hip-hop and generally, feel-good tracks.

Haha, you know, Life is Good is the title of one of Nas albums. One of my favorites as well. That aside, what about me huh? Life is just life, I guess? I'm in my final year of uni, so there you have it. I'm choked up with deadlines I gotta complete in the coming weeks. My overall balance with everything concerning me is not so great, but I daresay I'll be able to focus on myself once I'm done with this degree in a month's time. With that said, just living every day and going with the flow bruh. How's the weekend going for you?
Raging_Berserker Mar 9, 6:04 AM
You been listening to Ice Cube huh? That's awesome. What are your thoughts on him? I don't listen to Chief Keef, not big on the whole trap movement.

For anime osts, to be honest, I don't pay attention to those at all. However, when I hear a really good song related to the anime medium, I make sure I take note. I will say that through anime osts, I expanded my music listening as well. After all, I wouldn't know people like Yoko Kanno, Amazarashi, Nujabes etc without the anime medium!!!

How's it going with you in general man? How's life?
Raging_Berserker Mar 1, 8:55 PM
It's understandable if you don't like him much yet. Nas has like 10 albums and you've only listened to 1. It's not a "maybe", YOU DEFINITELY HAVEN'T LISTENED TO HUNDREDS OF GREAT NAS SONGS.

Nas is not just a good rapper, he's one of the greatest rappers ever. Boy, you gotta give respect where it's due. Why don't you listen to rap much anymore?
Raging_Berserker Mar 1, 10:29 AM
Haha, not bad at all. One amazing album and a dope song. But damn, you aren't listening to enough Nas apparently. You can imagine how young he was when he made Dejavu. Mind blowing to be so introspective back then. What do you usually listen to?
Raging_Berserker Feb 28, 1:41 PM
Haha thanks. You a fan of Nas?
Raging_Berserker Dec 1, 2018 10:55 AM
