Good call on Mob. I should probably give One Punch Man another shot.

At this point, I think I'll wait for Berserk to finish. Watch the rest all at once.

The pace of RE:Life got worse with each arc. After the full episode where two characters discussing the pros and cons of running away, followed by the Moby Dick planning episode, followed by the boring part 1 of attack on Moby Dick episode, I could not think of a reason why I wanted to find out what happens.

I added Mob Psycho 100 to my plan to watch list. It skipped it initially, but I will give it a try.

I watched the first episode of 91 days, I think, and dropped. It is probably a fine show, but I never liked the mob/prohibition genre of film/show. I find it too hard to empathize with those characters despite how tragic their upbringing might be. I have yet to sit through 3 hours of The God Father for the same reason.

Hmm...nothing comes to mind. I started watching an edited version of Game of Thrones. Its okay, not great, but maybe the full version has something pivotal I am missing. I liked the first arc of Re:Life but the second arc was boring, and the third stopped making any progress which convinced me to drop. I haven't decided if I want to watch Berserk when it finishes or if I even want to bother any further with it. The blurays for Haruhi are coming out soon, so I at least have that to look forward to.

How about you? Any shows worth suggesting? Any manga?

Very pretty looking. Barely any story or memorable characters, but it is the first episode. I think Attack on Titan worked better because it took the over saturated zombie genre and added giants and spider-man powers to it. Steampunk zombies is a little more generic, but hopefully the writing will expand beyond that in episodes to come.

I mostly use It can be hit or miss sometimes with that particular show. Only fansubs exist due to Netflix being dumb by sitting on the rights until the season ends.

I also use which is a Chrome/Firefox browser add-on. It allows streaming options within The add-on tends to be a little slower on the releases but it usually has better quality once it does show up.

I like it so far, but I am a sucker for time travel stories. So far it has been a pleasant surprise in an otherwise dull season. Ajin looks pretty interesting. One of the better looking all cg shows I have seen from Japan. The fan subs are awful though, so I hope someone licenses it soon so I can see a decent translation.

I do no remember much of it other than I dropped it after the first episode. I recall a large portion of the first episode being a dream sequence which is a hard sell to open with. I might give it another shot once the season finishes, but I am worried it will be another season long advertisement to go buy the manga, with no intention of ever finishing the anime.

I barely remember Shinsekai Yori. There were kids with super powers, which were taboo. The adults were hiding the reason why, then there was a time jump that turned everyone gay. I dropped shortly after that. I really dislike the "pedophilia is okay because her body stopped aging" gimmick Gate is now pushing. Yeah it was hinted at before, but I was hoping it wouldn't become so prominent.

Rick and Morty is the best show this season. Mr. Robot has a strong start until it turns into Fight Club with computers. Sticking strictly to Japan, Gate has an interesting premise executed tolerably. Overlord is exploitative, but a different take on the over indulged stuck in a video game genre. I do not recall any noteworthy backlog entries recently. How about you? Anything worth looking through?

I think all cgi works well for mecha anime. It at least looks way better than mixing 2d animation with cg. Seeing the two mixed pulls me right out of the experience. Sidonia's animation still looks stiff, but i think if someone put an actual budget behind that type of show, it would look very impressive. I hope sidonia plus that megaman/submarine cross-over show do well enough, despite their flaws, for more shows like it.

The first episode did not hold my attention, but perhaps it is worth a second try now that it has finished. The first season anyway.

The first episode did not sit with me well, so I am not sure if I should continue. The minimalist art style is pretty, and the animation is fine, but the script was messy. I dislike it when characters stop their fight, after the first attack, to dump exposition. I understand that the 12 swords are valuable, and nearly indestructible, but I do not understand why either of those things would necessarily overthrow a nation. Are rebels trying to collect the swords, sell them, then buy out the country? Twelve rare swords won't really change the course of a battle, because regular swords still do a decent job of killing people. Maybe if the rare swords had some sort of supernatural affect on swordsmen it could make a difference, but that was not explicitly explained. The worst part is when the protagonist falls in love with the heroine because she asked him to, but mostly because the plot required it. The two characters had no prior chemistry to justify this development. She could have bribed, coerced, threatened, or rewarded him somehow for his help but the writers picked probably the dumbest explanation. If they established the protagonist's impressions earlier it could have worked. Perhaps I am over thinking the show more than the writers intended, or perhaps the first episode was a misstep. Does the show improve, or do you think perhaps this one is not for me?

I don't think Tet will just yet. He's Kami-sama so for now he'll just be on the sides. Guess he'll come in the picture once Sora conquers that world! Let's wait and watch for now. :D

I see you're watching No Game No Life. How are you finding it?

I could not tolerate the incest. Other shows have certainly appeared worse than what I saw from that first episode, but it is just too disturbing to sit through for long. I do not understand why it comes up so often in anime.

Nisekoi did not hold my attention past the first episode. I do not care for the rival gang setting. They go for a lighthearted band of brothers take on gangs, but I still attribute gangs to drug cartels or murderers. It must be different in Japan, because I do not find that lifestyle admirable. That gang stuff probably is not the focus of the rom-com oriented show though. Perhaps I will give it another try once it finishes airing.
