I strongly feel movies should be open to all. Even those of us that are 'foreigners'. You may or may not have intended to but I found your comment to me came off strong (to put kindly). Most movies i feel despite the content will convey a message nonetheless. That is why i like the old saying, "a picture says a 1000 words". While i might not be aware of the background doesn't mean i don't feel something from the film.
You have stated your peace to me. I have replied to you. You chose to make this public vs a private message. I don't see any further need for any continuance on this matter. If it was not made clear my intent was to provide a neutral defense. Saying neither person is right or wrong. I am just making it clear I don't need any hate in my life. I have had more than my fair share in the past. That is the main reason I am trying my best to not give you 'hate' in this reply.
I wish you a good day and good health. If you like my other reviews thank you. If you don't I am sorry you feel that way.
Maybe try watching something before making an opinion about it , pre judgement is not considered a good quality of human beings :D
And my review will be removed by review moderators so don't take it so harsh.
Tsuki ga Kirei was a very similar experience for me. I went into that show not expecting anything major; I almost convinced myself it would be forgettable, cliche and childish. Watching it, however, deemed to be a much more surprising watch. After 2 minutes or so into the 1st episode, I simply sat in awe by how void of cliche it was, with relatable characters and proper pacing. I don't think I've ever been more pleasantly surprised by an anime; so much so that I decided to write a painstaking review on it due to the sheer passion I built for it.
See, that's the thing: the effect of many series wears off for me as well after about a week of its completion. Tsuki ga Kirei, however, for some reason hasn't. It was just such a different and unexpected anime for me that I keep reminding myself of its quality. I guess having written a passionate review helps, so that I can always revisit what I wrote to evoke what I thought about it originally.
Btw, I noticed you planned to watch To Heart! That makes me happier than you could imagine, lol. That series is so criminally unknown on this site: almost nobody I know has seen it and those who have, enjoyed it dearly. That's why the rating To Heart has on this site boggles my mind.. it just is a shame since there aren't any major flaws I could pick out when I watched it back in March. Also, similarly to Tsuki ga Kirei, I went into that show with absolutely no expectations. In fact, the way I even discovered that show was by going on my very-legal-friendly anime streaming website and used a random anime generator (for across all genres!) to watch a show that I would otherwise never think twice seeing! So as you can imagine my thoughts on that anime were unbiased to say the least.
Finally (promise I ain't stalking hahah), I checked out some of your reviews and I must say that you have produced some pretty fantastic reviews there! One that particularly impressed me, was your take on Koe no Katachi. I also truly wanted to enjoy that film, but simply couldn't. I'm not sure how it earned such a substantial rating, since its pacing, direction and even its adaptation of the original source material wasn't great to say the least. There was far too much drama, some characters' actions were never fully explained and the ending was too ambiguous for my liking. In the end, just like yourself, it was an enjoyable trainwreck but sadly I forgot about it an hour after finishing it, lol.
for the part of short film I've already explained to the guy before you that I actually like short films but this here is not a short film , you can read it below your own comment in my profile .
shortcut is trying to achieve sth sooner/faster by taking a short route and the show is trying to make you get the feels for those characters and fails miserably , that is shortcut .
You could say that it is more profitable but at least read the headlines of the links you sent me and what it considers profit .
I'm not a fan of Eromanga sensei but I watched it and it was fun although lacking in some aspects but still semi enjoyable for me I don't regret watching it and don't consider my time on it as wasted .
And yes tsurezure children had pretty good animation and sounding if you consider that quality but it's just like games , I don't really care about a 2017 game with astonishing graphics and no plot and rather prefer playing my ''age of mythology'' or ''commandos'' ( idk if you have played those but that was the best example I could give ) . Anyway hope you enjoy tsurezure children :D
Great taste btw, love some of your favorites. (Plus nice to see Tsuki ga Kirei an 8/10, I'm a massive fan of that show! :D)
Saikawa moments, sorry my bad.
