Henshin (Manga) add (All reviews)
Contains spoilers, if you care.

I will be blunt: there is absolutely no value to be found in this.

Discussing Metamosphosis is complicated. People will claim it's a deep, thought-provoking, innovative, subversive manga, but when you try to criticize it based on these claims, suddenly it's only porn and you shouldn't be taking it so seriously. So I will separate this review based on these two point of views.

1. Reviewing Metamorphosis as porn:

If you believe that Metamorphosis is exempt from criticism because it's only porn and it's not that deep, I have news that you might not like to hear: nothing is exempt from criticism, especially not read more

Somehow, I'm not surprised to see that there are no reviews for Sore wa Tada no Senpai no Chinko. It's quite difficult to put such a bizarre experience into words; and when I saw bizarre I MEAN it. But I'll do my best to try anyway.

Senpai no Chinko is exactly what it says on the tin: a collection of short stories that take place in a world where dicks can safely grow back after being chopped off. Yes, you read that right. But what makes Senpai no Chinko so uniquely strange isn't its odd premise as much as it is its approach to it: this read more

If you're familiar with the latest trends in animanga, it's impossible not having heard of Gotoubun no Hanayome. With the anime adaptation that was recently brought to us, it went on everyone's radar and quickly became a fever, touted as one of the greatest romance manga in a while. How much truth does this reputation hold, though?

First things first, if you're thinking about reading Gotoubun no Hanayome, be sure to know what you're getting yourself into: it IS a school setting romance/harem about five quintuplets falling in love with their classmate and tutor. That's where it lies its greatest flaw to me. Firstly, as you read more

(Warning: contains spoilers)

Macross F (or Frontier) is extremely impressive, because I never thought an anime about idols singing teaming up with giant robots in space to save the world together could be THIS dull. It also puzzles me how people sing this so much praise, claiming it's the best Macross installment. Let me just make it clear that this is the first Macross I have watched; and yet, it was so bad it almost killed any desire I had of checking out the rest of the franchise.

I'll try my best to keep it short, but let me break down what I think are some of read more

What makes Jojo's Bizarre Adventure so special?

That's a question I always had in my mind. One I had before reading it, one I really thought about while I was reading it, and one I'm still thinking about now. After binging all parts in about three weeks, I felt compelled to write a review about one of them; I picked Steel Ball Run because it's my favorite. I feel an urge to try and explain exactly what about Steel Ball Run, and maybe even Jojo in general, is so compelling. What about it that made me whip out a score of nine out of ten in read more

I started SAO II because hearing so many people saying it would adapt arcs that are vastly superior to the previous ones made me really curious about how far this franchise could go, and I bet wasn't the only one. As I bet that I'm not the only one who was left absolutely, utterly disappointed (but not surprised) upon seeing all of the same old bullshit that made the first season so terrible repeating itself.

This review may contain spoilers from now on.

Sword Art Online II adapts two arcs from the novels: GGO and Mother's Rosario. Oh no, wait, it's three arcs: there's also the read more

It's very rare to see a series getting stripped of its excesses with its essence remaining intact. Hell, I don't even remember the last time I have read something that used simplicity rather than dramacity working on its favor - that is, before I got around to reading Horimiya.

What really makes Horimiya stand out among several other shoujo romance stories is the way they use the natural flow of events rather than misunderstandings and excessive drama to make the story move foward. It's slow paced, light-hearted and feels more slice-of-life focused, which gives off a very refreshing feeling. Even though the plot is nothing new read more

[Spoiler Warning]

Every once in a while, you watch something bad that doesn't feel like a total waste of time, because it's just so bad that you learn from it exactly what you never want to see from any form of media again. Or teaches you exactly what NOT to do if you write something yourself.

Golden Time was honestly such a terrible experience that it was almost rewarding.

The entire show was like an empty shell; you could keep looking long and hard for a pearl as much as you wanted and nothing but disappointment would surface. I give them credit for at least trying to escape read more

For quite the long time, people have exposed their wishes for Kyoani, notable for their several slice of life series with high quality animation, to do something else other than the slow moe-filled series they're famous for. After years of exploring safe territory, they finally announced the highly antecipated supernatural series Kyoukai no Kanata. And with that, set themselves up for what is probably their biggest failure in the last few years.

Whether they failed because the transition from slice of life to dark fantasy was too abrupt for them to handle or because they simply do not care for quality anymore, we can't be sure. read more

I don't think that there's something that represents better what is an extremely tryhard show than Hyperdimension Neptunia.

First of all, I have never touched the game, so this review covers only the anime series. Now, I'm not even going to start by sugar-coating things: Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation is a dirty mess. Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation represents everything you shouldn't do with an anime that's supposed to be lighthearted and cute. It tries so hard to succeed and please that it ends up setting itself to being a failure.

There is little to no plot in this show. The basic premise is that four young girls read more
