Brought to you by the same manga-ka as Pretty Face and Mx0 (Where Mx0 was axed due to low user ratings), Kagami no Kuni no Harisugawa is a shounen manga that has captured my attention after reading the first two chapters. Being a fan of Kano Yasuhiro myself (Having read his two previous works), I immediately started reading this manga after a recommendation from a friend.
The story itself is pretty unique in my opinion,I mean c'mon, who could've thought of a shounen manga about a mirror? That being said, the story gives out the same aura as Mx0,with the main character being infatuated with a girl, going as far as having his life almost taken to protect the girl he loves. As the story progresses,we learn about the feelings that Harisugawa holds over Mao,and the obstacles he has to overcome to have his loved one(s) by his side.
The art seems to have improved a little since Pretty Face and Mx0,it looks even more detailed especially the way Mao was drawn. I like artsyles like this, because it makes it easier to read and it is also drawn beautifully at the same time.
The main characters,Harisugawa and Mao somehow gives the same feeling as the main characters in Mx0,with Harisugawa being totally in love with Mao and Mao not realizing it. Harisugawa even looks similar to Kuzumi (Main character in Mx0). Then comes Saki,a close friend of Mao's,who becomes an important character later on in the story. What I like the most about the story is how the mirror complicates with the character's lives, and the troubles that arise from it.
Overall,I give this manga a 8.6/10,and I would love to give it higher, but i've yet to see how the story progresses and how the ending is going to be,and I hope it will not end up being axed like some of my favourite mangas,e.g. Slam Dunk,Double Arts,Mx0. If you loved Pretty Face or Mx0,then i'm pretty sure you're going to want to read this. read more

Since the manga only has very few chapters out,i can't really see where the story is going to go. But what i can say is that this manga is a joy to read, but as warniefn stated before,it is not for kids,as it involves a bit of incest and a lot of fan service (With probably more to come). The story itself is pretty unique, and it makes you wonder if he gets to bang all those chicks without something happening. The art style is also clean and nicely drawn. I can't really say much for the characters seeing how there's only been a few chapters out,so i don't see any character development at all. Overall,I give it an 8/10 just because it's simply enjoyable and fun to read. I look forward to see how this manga progresses. read more

The story stars off simple enough, with the male protagonist, which is Staz, an otaku vampire who is a boss in the underworld, found a human girl, Fuyumi who has fallen into his territory. Fuyumi was then eaten by a monster and somehow turned into a ghost. Staz must now find a way to turn Fuyumi back to normal and send her back to the human world.
It's a typical shounen type manga, with the main character being overly powerful and getting even more powerful later in the story. The story isn't all that original but it is enjoyable and fun to read, with a few hilarious moments in the manga. The art is well drawn and pretty detailed in my opinion, and i especially like how cute Fuyumi's character looks like (Flushed cheeks and all). I give it an overall 7.5 and it is a good read if you want a funny manga that isn't too serious or simply just to pass your time. read more
