I think a good story is like a journey, where each character and event takes me to a new place, making me question, feel and, above all, connect with the journey.
Well-developed characters, with their own motivations, flaws and dreams, are what really bring a story to life. I love it when I can identify with them, root for their victories and feel the pain of their defeats.
