No.6 (Anime) add
Preliminary (10/11 eps)
whilst no.6 is an enjoyable anime in itself, it misses out on a lot of the source material and as a result, becomes quite difficult to understand towards the second half of the series. after rewatching this show numerous times i had to turn to the manga and novel/light novel/whatever to actually get some answers as to what was going on.

despite this, i think no.6 can be enjoyed on its own as an anime, and has a great soundtrack, especially the ending song (although the opening is pretty good too). the characters are interesting and whilst key character arcs are missed, as an 11 episode ...

let me preface this by saying this show is not good in any shape or form. the characters are cheaply written, the story is incredibly bland, the art is mediocre at best, and the show was never finished so it's not like we'll ever have an ending.

however my counter-argument is boobs, guns and zombies. i'm not really a fan of ecchi as it's usually in poor taste but overall i enjoyed this show a lot, almost exclusively for the kickass opening and sheer absurdity of it. i've rewatched it so many times because of this but i suppose not everyone wants an absolutely braindead show ...

Mononoke Hime (Anime) add
i'm going to preface this by saying i'm a little biased towards this movie since i have been watching it religiously since i was 3 years old. however, there's a reason behind why i have never stopped and will never stop rewatching it. by far the best of miyazaki's films, mononoke hime is a work of art, not only for its literal art, but it's incredible soundtrack, eccentric characters, and incredible story. whilst it is a fairly long movie, mononoke hime uses the full 2 hours to flesh out the characters and story to their full potential. this movie is undoubtedly what got me into ...

Mars Red (Anime) add
Preliminary (12/13 eps)
i must admit i was quite shocked when i went to check the scoring of this show. once i began watching mars red, i was instantly hooked and binged the whole series up to the final episode which has yet to be aired. this show is most definitely underrated and stands out against other vampire anime in my eyes. whilst the premise sounds like a knock off of owari no seraph, mars red's story and setting branches off far from it. the art is absolutely beautiful and caught my eye from the first episode. the soundtrack is stunning, with an incredible opening and wonderful music ...
